Google Drive for iPad Head to the Apple App Store to download Google Drive for iPad (free) Once it is downloaded, login in with your school email account. This is a nicer way to create and edit WORD (.doc, .docx) documents. It is not set up to do spreadsheets and power points yet, and you can’t send WORD (.doc, .docx) documents to Dropbox from here. Luckily though we have TouchDocs still for moving things to Dropbox when we need to. When you want to create a new WORD doc, head to Google Drive, and then in the top right hand corner, select the plus symbol: Name the Document and start editing.

When  you  want  to  create  a  new  WORD  doc,  head  to  Google  Drive,  and  then  in  the  top  right  hand  corner,  select  the  plus  symbol:

Name  the  Document  and  start  editing.

Sharing  is  much  easier  on  this  app  as  well.    On  the  main  screen,  where  are  your  documents  are  listed,  touch  the  arrow  on  the  right  hand  side  of  the  document  you  want  to  share  with  someone  and  next  to  WHO  HAS  ACCESS,  select  the  plus  button.

     (next  page)

You  can  add  a  classmate  or  a  teacher  to  share  the  document  on  this  screen  here:

Lastly,  you  can  edit  folders  on  this  app  for  google  docs.    To  create  a  new  folder,  hit  the  plus  button  like  before,  but  instead  of  new  document  select  NEW  FOLDER  Name  you  folder  and  hit  save.    Then  any  documents  you  want  to  put  in  that  folder,  select  the  right  arrow  by  the  document  again,  and  look  for  the  famous  share  button  that  you  see  on  lots  of  different  iPad  apps.

After  you  select  this  button,  look  for  the  MOVE  TO  option  and  select  the  folder  you  want  to  put  that  document  in.
