History Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford. And in 1997 they developed the programme of page rank and built a search engine called Blackrub in 1996. Later in 1997 they named it Google after the word "googol," a mathematical term for the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zero. Google was born in 1998 august Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim writes a check for $100,000 to an entity that doesn't exist yet :- a company called Google Inc . It also named the top search engine in 1998. In 2001 Eric Schmidt was officially announced the chairman of Google.

In 2007 they launched the mobile OS software called Android The Googleplex is the corporate headquarters complex of Google. Inc. located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California. Today, 11 years later, they are one of the leading internet companies offering services that rival Microsoft and others.
