Goodwood Motorsport Volunteering
Get Involved
Why be a Goodwood Motorsport Volunteer?
➢ Get access to Internationally renowned Motorsport events
➢ Become a part of our volunteering community who all share a motorsport
passion
➢ Meet new people
➢ Access to the Members Meeting, which is exclusive to GRRC members only and
join us at the members fireworks
➢ Explore the action our events have to offer in your free time
➢ Camping for those who live over 30 miles away, and free parking
➢ Any time outside of the shift is yours to catch all of the action, explore the
event, and soak up the atmosphere
Please note that any volunteers under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
What does being a Volunteer involve?
You will be required to undertake one 6-hour unpaid shift, either AM or PM, over
each event day. You will be able to specify your preference which we will endeavour
to accommodate where possible.
If you would like to volunteer with friends or family, please let us know and we can
make sure you are stationed together!
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers will be required to have a fully-refundable deposit taken,
equal to the value of an adult weekend ticket (Prices below). This is in order to
prevent people gaining entry with their wristband and not arriving for their shifts!
Providing that all shifts have been completed, the deposit will be returned at Staff
HQ at the end of the last volunteering shift.
Members Meeting- £121
Festival of Speed- £172
Revival- £190
What roles do we offer?
Grandstand and Disabled Viewing Platform Stewards (all three events): You
are the gatekeepers to the Grandstands.
Mobility Buggy Drivers (all three events)- To chauffeur family and disabled
guests around the event.
Blanket Distributors & Fire Pit Marshals (Members Meeting)
Event Ambassadors (Festival of Speed)- Proactively assist visitors and
enhance their Goodwood experience from the moment they enter the
event!
Paddock Marshals (Revival)- Oversee the running of the paddock gates
whilst being at the centre of all the action!
What should you wear?
We do encourage all involved at the events to treat comfort as their top priority so
please dress appropriately for the weather.
Stylish and relaxed – an informal yet smart event, with
everyone asked to respect the dress code. It is a great excuse for both ladies and
gentlemen to wear their smartest countryside attire.
We recommend black trousers and a white polo shirt/ plain top
or jumper. We will provide you with an overcoat to wear on top for your shift!
Please bring sun cream and a hat in the event of hot weather.
Smart casual period clothing from the 40s, 50s or 60s is optional for this
role. Whilst we do encourage staff to exhibit their best period clothing, you are
more than welcome to wear black trousers and a plain top/jumper. We will provide
you with an overcoat to wear on top for your shift!
Waterproofs to wear in the event of wet weather.
