quarterly activity guide for each season. The guide can be downloaded from our website, or you can pick one up at the Parks and Tourism Center,

the Delmas Long Community Center, Goodlettsville City Hall, the Goodlettsville Public Library, and many local churches.

Activity guides are also distributed through local schools.

Program RegistrationProgram RegistrationMany of the programs offered by Goodlettsville Parks, Recreation, and Tourism require pre-registration. Our activity guide will highlight the deadline for each activity and the requirements for registration. There are several ways to register: online at www.goodlettsvilleparks.com, by phone to 851-2253, or in person at the community center or the Parks and Tourism Center.

Refund Policy for Programs•A full refund will be given when a patron cancels more than one full week prior to the activity, program, event, and/or other services.•A $5.00 administration fee will be charged for any cancellation within one week of the activity, program, event, and/or other services.•A refund will not be issued after the fi rst activity/program meeting unless the department cancels the activity.•Online convenience fees will not be refunded.

Moss-Wright Walking TrailsMoss-Wright Park has two marked walking trails. The blue trail is a 2.1 mile scenic route that circles the entire park. The red trail is 1.5 miles and cuts through the center of the park. Both paths begin at the trailhead behind Mansker’s Fort.

Fenway’s Dog Park Fenway’s Dog Park Dog Park located within Moss-Wright Park. The park is most easily accessed using the east entrance of Moss-Wright and immediately turning left. Features water, shade, benches, and a double-gated entrance.

Memorial Day Madness - Monday, May 30Kick off the summer season on Memorial Day with crazy contests, funny games, and lots of laughter. Events happen at the top of the hour all day long. General admission rates apply.

Summer Egg Hunt - Saturday, July 23Typcical egg hunt season may be over, but we’ve created an alternative summer hunt.

At 2:00pm we’ll have an egg hunt in the waters of Pleasant Green Pool with prizes in every egg. General admission rates apply.

Back to School Supply Drive - August 1st to 6thBring school supplies the first week of August and receive a $2 discount off of daily admission.

Donations will be given to local elementary schools.

Swim Lessons and Swim Team

Recreational Swim TeamSwim Team meets most Tuesdays and Thursdays in July at 8:00am.

Children ages 5 to 15 are welcome to join if they meet the following swimming pre-requisites: basic knowledge of the Front Crawl, Breast Crawl, and Back Crawl, and able to swim confidently in deep water for 20 yards. The fee is $25. Discounts for siblings are available. Specific Swim Team dates are: July 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, and 21. Swimmers will participate in an intra-team meet

in Portland on the 19th.

Colonial CampColonial CampHistoric Mansker’s Station is the ideal setting for a unique adventure in history. Reconstructed Mansker’s Fort allows campers the opportunity to experience history fi rst hand, and the original Bowen House lets them step back in time to life on a plantation. Campers will see history come alive with fun and exciting activities that emphasize learning and creativity. Each day’s theme is listed below.

The Drakes Creek Park camp will run June 13 through June 17 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The Moss-Wright Park camp will run July 5 through July 9 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The Socceroos, players ages 4 to 6, come from 9:00 to 10:30am each day.

All Fun Friday events take place at Moss-Wright Park and are free! Activities begin at 10:00am and wrap up by noon. We ask that a parent or guardian is present and joins in the fun with the kids. Follow the signs when you get to the park for the location of each event. All events cancel with rain.

Touch A Truck - June 10Come sit in the seat, honk the horn, and turn the wheel of your favorite truck or vehicle! From fire trucks to dump trucks, police cruisers to cranes, they’ll all be in one place for kids to touch and admire.

Summer Olympics - June 24Wear your tennis shoes and be prepared to race your way to gold in exciting events like the sack race, ball throw, 50 yard dash, and the long jump. For children 2-15 years.

DJ Dance Day - July 8Kids of all ages will have a great time participating in games like the limbo and air guitar contests while listening and dancing to popular music. Bring a picnic lunch to round out the morning.

Fireman’s Foam - July 22Wear your swimsuit and goggles and be prepared to be sprayed with foam from high above. It’s like a bubble bath, but better!

Senior Spirits ProgramThe Goodlettsville Senior Spirits is a leisure group with the purpose of offering a variety of recreational activities to adults who are 55 years of age or older. Goodle sville Classic “Christmas in July” 4-Mile Run Run a 4-mile course through Moss-Wright Park. Medals will be awarded 3 deep for 14 and under to 80+ in 5 year increments. Prize money awarded for Overall and Master Male and Female Finishers. Timed using ChampionChip ming on gun start.
