The Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament was held on Monday, June 1st. We were lucky enough to
use the Riverside Country Club’s beautiful facilities. We were also fortunate enough to have a clear,
sunny day perfect for cruising around in the picturesque course.
The golfers started off their day by checking in and
grabbing their swag bags, donated by Fishbowl,
and their gift card to the Nike merchandise tent.
Before the shotgun start, the golfers enjoyed a
breakfast of fresh fruit and pastries sponsored by
Squire and Company.
Local businesses sent their best golfers to
represent the company out on the course. We had
18 foursomes, a total of 72 golfers, competing
scramble-style for first place. Golfers moved from
hole to hole, picking up snacks and drinks donated
by Timpanogos Regional Hospital and Workers
Compensation Fund. They conversed with other golfers and gathered swag from businesses set up
at each hole as “hole sponsors.” Our hole sponsors included BBSI, Alakazam, Downtown Provo Inc.,
The Daily Herald, Habitat for Humanity, Key Bank, Kids on the Move, UCCU, Wells Fargo, Zions
Bank, UVHBA, Marriott Towneplace Suites,
Namify, UESP, Snowbird, Coke, Vasa, and
Century Link.
At the end of the day, golfers gathered for a
delicious lunch, sponsored by Wells Fargo. The
top-scoring team was from Utah Valley
University. Each winning team member was
given a blender, generously donated by
Blendtec. Other prizes were given including a
luxury chair, more Blendtec blenders, tickets to
the Parade of Homes, and a golf bag.
Overall, the event was a great way for business professionals to get out of the office and network in
a fun and relaxed environment. We are grateful for all of the companies who helped sponsor this
event and make it such a great success. A ‘tee’-rific time was had by all!
If you were not able to attend the 2015 Chamber Champion’s Cup, stay tuned for more updates
about our Small Business Golf Tournament coming up on August 12, 2015 at Sleepy Ridge in Orem.
