Generation 2 officially began when Allill Goldweaver married Ivy Couper. Ivy like her husband was very interested in learning new things as well as caring for others around her. The two had met at a bowling alley during one of Allill's frequent visits with his sister Elfreda.

Page 2: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

News arrived shortly after the wedding courtesy of Laci London, that the storm that had once ravaged the land of Valenwood was now approaching Lorian. The gypsy tried to persuade the family to leave for safer lands. However, none of the Goldweaver family had any desire to abandon the people of Lorian to the fate of Valenwood. (I couldn't let history repeat itself. I had lived through the storm so I had an idea of what to expect. With the help of Marylena I was able to help those who wished to remain behind prepare for the danger.) Oloros Goldweaver on remaining in Lorian

The storm came as Laci London predicted. She was not happy with the family's decision to stay, but had not choice in the end but to accept their choice. The gypsies removed their protection from the Goldweaver family shortly after the storm arrived. Laci London left back for Valenwood to inform the council of Oloros' foolish decision.

Though life was hard, Allill and Ivy soon found they were expecting their first child. Ivy now more than ever wanted to bring proper medical care back to her home.

Page 5: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Some good news did come to the streets, when Allill with the help of his sister Elfreda and her husband Jessie Day brought some order back to the streets. The mob still controlled most of the activities of the city, but at least a volunteer fire department had been established. Elfreda and Jessie protected the streets of Lorian long after Allill was forced to leave in order to attend to his family.

Page 6: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Ivy quickly settled into life at the Goldweaver house. Though she constantly worried about bringing a child into this new world, she found a constant support in Marylena.

Page 7: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Ivy gave birth to her first born daughter Kalina Goldweaver. She had inherited her mother's black hair and her father's eyes.

Page 8: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

However, the good news of Kalina's birth was quickly forgotten as a series of tragedies came over the Goldweaver family. It began with Marylena becoming ill. Everyone in Lorian seemed to take the news very hard. (No one went out into the streets much after mom got sick. I have to admit that life around the house was always filled with this quiet dread. No one dared say that mom was going to die, but everyone had it on their minds.) Allill Goldweaver on his mother's illness

Page 9: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Just across the street Cassia had a quiet wedding to her husband Norhorn Ceberlandon. Not much is known about Norhorn and no photographs of him have ever been recovered.

Page 10: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Cassia soon found that she was expecting her first child. Soon afterward Norhorn became ill as did Cassia. To help care for them Siofra moved in with her twin sister and her husband. Shortly after her arrival, Norhorn died. He was buried beside their home and none grieved for him more than Cassia.

Page 11: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Cassia gave birth to her only son Lalawethika Ceberlandon. A new medicine created by Ivy, seemed to have helped Cassia to recover from her illness. Ivy was already in the process of making more for Marylena who had insisted that the last batch be given to her daughter.

Page 12: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Down the street Elfreda and Jessie were expecting their first born child. They gave birth to a little girl that they named Calista Day.

Page 13: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

They named their daughter after Calista Despret a close family friend. Calista had moved in with Elfreda just before the disaster and was more than willing to help with her namesake. (Personally, I think that Elfreda and Jessie could have picked a much nicer name for their daughter. I've always felt very touched that they would think so highly of an old gal like me.) Calista Despret on Calista Day

Page 14: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

The good news of Calista's birth was forgotten when Cassia Ceberlandon died. Her death took a huge toll on the family. Elfreda and Siofra whom had never been close, stopped speaking entirely after Cassia's death. Oloros began to have second thoughts about remaining in Lorian and spent most of his days sitting by his wife's bedside or alone in his room. And Ivy felt greatly responsible for Cassia's death. She spent weeks alone refusing to continue her research.

Page 15: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Siofra became even more quiet than before her twin's death. She quit her job in order to care for her sister's only child. Being very independent, she refused to accept money from the others in the family. She earned money from home by writing stories. (Out of all of my siblings I never worried about Siofra. She's always been the strongest of the four of us. She's never been liked by most people, as they think her cold and unloving. But my sister loved deeper than probably anyone I ever knew. She just wasn't into "that touchy feely stuff." But she sacrificed everything to take care of Lalawethika.) Allill Goldweaver on his sister Siofra

Page 16: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Apparently the mob was not happy with the Goldweaver family for locking up some of their own. So they sent someone to hopefully further demoralize the man line. (It was quite frightening when it was all going on. I still feel we are quite fortunate that the didn't hurt Ivy or Mary. Now that I look back on it though, it's really kind of absurd. The man took a toy rabbit and a mirror.) Oloros Goldweaver on the robbery

Page 17: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Soon after the robbery Kalina turned four. She turned out to be quite outgoing and made friends very easily especially with her grandfather who often called her Little Bird.

Page 18: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Though Ivy was hit hard by Cassia's death, she finally continued to work to find some kind of medicine that might help those who were still ill. Finally, she was able to find the right combination of ingredients which brought Marylena back from uncertain death. There were many people stopping by the Goldweaver house, trying to see for themselves that Marylena truly was back with them again.

Page 19: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

After Marylena's recovery, life fell into a routine. Ivy and Allill worked while Oloros and Marylena stayed home with Kalina. In the evenings everyone gathered in the main room. Ivy and Allill were often playing chess, while the grandparents and visitors doted on Kalina.

Page 20: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Allill became the handy-man around the house often fixing what was broken. (Not that I could actually make the computer do all that much. We didn't have the parts to make it anything other than a very large type-writer.) Allill Goldweaver on Technology

Ivy soon found that she was pregnant for the second time. The two had actually hoped to conceive the next heir a long time ago, but Ivy had trouble becoming pregnant for a second time.

Page 22: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

When Ivy nearly started to death, Oloros tried teaching Ivy the art of elfin meditation. It worked beautifully and Ivy was kept out of any further mishaps during her pregnancy. (When I realized that they were useful for Lorians, I of course recorded the techniques down into books. I left a copy with all of my children. Even though I wasn't certain it would help, I felt I owed it to my daughter's memory to try.) Oloros on teaching Ivy Meditation

Even though Oloros had a longer life span being an elf, even he too eventually joined his wife as an elder. The two had always been close, but it seemed that the disaster had only brought them closer.

Page 24: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

In the Day household, Elfreda found that she was now expecting her second child as well. Calista Day was now a toddler who got into everything in sight. Calista Despret had recently adopted a baby of her own which she named Julie.

Page 25: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Elfreda gave birth to her second child which she named Oek. Little is known about the youngest Day. We do know that he never married and lived most of his life alone.

Page 26: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Back in the Goldweaver house, Ivy went into labor just as Allill was arriving home from work. She gave birth to yet another girl which they named Roza. When it again became difficult for Ivy to get pregnant the family began to wonder who would be the next heir. (We all knew about the traditions of Valenwood. We knew that dad wasn't exactly on good terms with everyone since he had decided to stay, so we wondered what would happen if Ivy and I could not produce a son) Allill on producing an Heir

Page 27: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Roza grew up quite well and ended up with some rather extravagant clothing from the supply store.

Page 28: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Her best friend was her cousin Lalawethika Ceberlandon, who had inherited his mother's elfin blood. (Weth was a lot fun. We would spend hours hitting each other with pillows after school. Of course, we couldn't play pillow fight at Aunt Siofra's since she didn't like loud games.) Kalina on her cousin Lalawethika

Page 29: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Ivy with the use of the last of the Nectu technology was able to have a flash of insight into how to fix the water supply. She and Mary of course had resumed playing nightly games of chess and continued the tradition until Marylena's death several years later.

Page 30: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

In the Day household, Julie Despret and Oek Day had become the best of friends. However, the two had a falling out shortly after Julie became an adult. (We jut grew up to be very different people. I wanted a family of my own, and Oek had his own interests which I found rather unappealing.) Julie Despret on her friend Oek

Page 31: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Back at home Marylena Goldweaver put out a best selling novel which recorded her feelings during and immediately following her illness.

Page 32: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

And Ivy at last found she was pregnant for the third time. Everyone had high hopes that this would be the long awaited heir. Allill already had a named picked out for his son.

Page 33: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

However, Ivy gave birth to her third and last child several months later. They named their daughter Lily Goldweaver. With no son to carry on the family name, who would Oloros choose as heir? The Gypsy London had started correspondence with Oloros again after 12 years and wanted to know who was taking over the family. She of course suggested that Lalawethika, the last elfin relative be given the title.

Page 34: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Meanwhile, Kalina had become a very popular teenager. She was very interested in politics and seemed to one day want to be mayor of the city. She still spent a great deal of time with her grandfather listening to stories of Valenwood.

Page 35: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

She also had a very active social life which included her boyfriend Derek Vijayakar. (Derek was a bit nerdy I know, but I really like him. He's always so thoughtful. And I find his jokes funny, even if the other girls don't) Kalina on Derek

Page 36: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Kalina was not the only child of generation three who had found love. Julie Despret had found a boyfriend in Lalawethika Ceberlandon. They were an odd couple as they only happened to meet by chance during one of Lalawethika's visits to the Goldweaver house. Elfreda nor her child had ever met Cassia's son as she and Siofra refused to speak to one another after Cassia's death.

Page 37: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

The youngest of generation three finally began to grow up. Like Oek, Lily and Roza spent most of their lives living alone until they moved into the Cormier Care Facility when she became too old to care for herself any longer.

Page 38: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Kalina meanwhile had continued to date Derek and had started a job for the local government. One evening after work, Kalina relinquished her claim to the family heirship. She understood that Oloros had come from a very ancient people that had long standing traditions. (I wanted him to know that I didn't mind if he chose Oek or Weth as the heir. As long as I could take care of the Lorians by being mayor I could be happy. And no matter what I would always be his Little Bird.)

Page 39: Goldweaver Legacy: The Storm

Oloros had a tough choice to make. His own people clearly wanted Lalawethika to be named heir of the family. And they made a valid point that he had originally come to Lorian to preserve his race. However, Oek was Elfreda's son. She was his oldest daughter. Shouldn't her son be given the rights to the family line by the laws of his people's ancient traditions? (I had a very difficult choice to make. I knew what my people wanted me to do, but in the end I knew that I needed to choose who I felt could best take care of my family.)
