– NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS –The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must makethemselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse sideof the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List.

• A RECORDING FEE will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trialor Tracking Test. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American KennelClub. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entryonly. (American Kennel Club Rule. Chapter 11, Section 2).

• CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITHINTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS

• Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging.• Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish

any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dogholding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

• No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsignedentries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies ofEntry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or itsSuperintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by theowner or the owner’s agent. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELYWITH THE ENTRANT.

• Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judgeor Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been enteredincorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIESor OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has beenprocessed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of themanagement it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made.

• RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agentmay result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS.

• REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed tosaid Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds forentries cancelled prior to the closing of entries.

• Only dogs eligible for this show will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs.• The judging will start promptly. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging, and may leave immediately

thereafter, unless required for further judging.• ENTRIES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to

address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify theSuperintendent at (360)683-1507 or email [email protected].

• LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors,but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogsor exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibilityof the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their childrenon the day of the show.

• FAX ENTRIES – Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason,an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) 683-6654. This is for Fax MachineONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. • TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed.

It is the policy of the Evergreen Golden Retriever Club that the Show Chairman will not handle any dogsin any competitive class at the EGRC Specialty and that the Obedience Chairman will not handle anydogs in any competitive obedience class at this show. Family members of either chairman may handledogs in any class, and dogs co-owned by either chairman may be shown if handled by someone other thansuch chairman. All other club members, including members of the Show Committee, are free to handledogs in any class at this show.The Show Chairman and Obedience Chairman for the GRCA Western Regional Specialty will conform tothis policy regarding the Regional.

Judge may award two JAMS or up to 10 percent of the Best of Breed entry, whichever isgreater.BEST PUPPY COMPETITION: To be selected from the first place winners in the Puppy Classes.BEST VETERAN COMPETITION: To be selected from the first place winners in the Veterans Classes.NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES:STUD DOG CLASS – for Stud Dogs and two of their Get. SWEEPSTAKES AND VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES – BOTH SPECIALTIESHANDLER: The handler of a Sweepstakes or Veteran Sweepstakes exhibit must be the owner,co-owner, breeder or member of their immediate family as they are listed on file with theAmerican Kennel Club as of the closing date for the show for which the Sweepstakes entry isbeing made. There will be two 100’ x 100’ rings outdoors on grass, which may be running simultaneously.

WALK-THROUGHS AND WARM-UPSHandlers in all classes will be permitted to walk the course without a dog prior to the start ofa class. At the judge’s discretion, if the size of the entry for any class might inhibit a safe andfair walk-through by handlers, height divisions may be used to divide the walk-through intogroups, e.g. walk-through for the 8”, 12”, and 16” division handlers followed by runs for thoseheight divisions; then walk-throughs and subsequent runs for the 20” and 24” divisions. Awarm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, will be provided.

DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTERThis Trial is open to all dogs over the age of 12 months that are registered with the AmericanKennel Club or are registrable breeds that have obtained ILP numbers from AKC, except bitchesin season, aggressive dogs, blind or deaf dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury orillness which may affect the dog’s physical or mental performance.

HEIGHT DIVISIONSThe following jump height division shall be used in all trial classes:8 inches for dogs 10 inches and under at the withers 4” Preferred class12 inches for dogs 14 inches and under at the withers 8” Preferred class16 inches for dogs 18 inches and under at the withers 12” Preferred class20 inches for dogs 22 inches and under at the withers 16” Preferred class24 inches for dogs over 22 inches at the withers 20” Preferred class

OBSTACLES – Obstacles shall meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition ofAKC Regulations for Agility Trials. All jumps will be displaceable; Dog Walks with 12’ or 8’ footplanks will be used.

MOVE-UPS – Move-ups after entries close must be submitted to the Trial Secretary in writingby NOON PDT on August 18, 2003. The day to day move-ups will be accepted at the trial.Move-ups must be submitted in writing no later than 30 minutes after the trial ends each day.

A complete set of rules for all classes is available form the American Kennel Club, 5580Centerview Drive, Suite 200, Raleigh, NC 27606, or from the AKC web site. It is the exhibitor’sresponsibility to enter their dog in the correct class. The Trial Secretary cannot make anychanges (except for move-ups as noted) after the closing date of the trial. Be sure to checkyour entry form carefully and make certain you have entered the correct class(s). StandardAgility and JWW class descriptions:• Novice – is divided into Division A for persons and dogs that have never acquired an agility

title, And Division B for dogs that have acquired the Novice Agility title, persons who havehandled a dog to an agility title, and for agility judges.Note – if you have a title in JWW you may not show in Novice A in Standard and vice versa.

• Open – Open to dogs that have acquired the Novice Agility or Open Agility titles but whichhave not acquired the Agility Excellent title.

• Excellent Class A – is open to dogs that have acquired the Open Agility title and to dogsthat have not acquired the Agility Excellent title.

• Excellent Class B — is open to dogs that have acquired Agility Excellent title.

NEW!! PREFERRED CLASS INFORMATIONThe Preferred Class is a new titling program offered by AKC starting September 1, 2002. Thisclass offers a longer Standard Course Time and lowered jump heights. Preferred Classes willbe held immediately before or immediately after the Regular Classes, on the same courses. Alldogs entering the Preferred Classes for the first time must enter the Novice level in both thePreferred Standard Agility Class and the Preferred Jumpers with Weaves Class regardless oftheir previous title level in the Regular Classes. (Standard and JWW). There is no“grandfathering” of titles from the Regular Classes to the Preferred Classes or from thePreferred Classes to the Regular Classes. These classes are separate titling programs and inboth cases the dogs must start at the Novice level. Dogs may be entered in only one (1) StandardAgility class and one (1) Jumpers With Weaves Class per day, i.e. they cannot simultaneouslycompete in both Regular and Preferred for the same class. A dog may continue to compete ateach level until they achieve a qualifying score at the next higher level. The Preferred StandardAgility Class and the Preferred JWW Class are separate titling programs and a dog may advancefaster in one than the other (A dog that has achieved its NJP is eligible for and may enter theOpen Jumpers With Weaves Preferred Class. The same dog must also achieve three (3) qualifyingscores in the Standard Novice Agility Preferred Class before being eligible to move-up to theStandard Open Agility Preferred Class). In order to acquire a Preferred Agility title, a dogmust earn the required qualifying scores per Preferred Class level under at least two (2)different judges. Grandfathering is no longer in effect in Jumpers With Weaves. To be eligibleto compete in an advanced class. The dog must have earned a title in a lower level class,UNLESS he earned a leg in the more advanced class before October 31, 1998.
