Trust has several elements: trust in competence trust in honesty trust in inten:on trust in mo:ve trust inten:on trust in the rela:onship Trust in one element does not mean trust in any or all of the rest. The problem, of course, is that trust has to be engendered and cul:vated in contexts that change and are outside of the control of the universi:es or their leaders. The ques:on is: what should we do about it?
