December 2016 Dragon Times Newsletter Evergreen Elementary Going for Gold! Dear Parents and Friends of Evergreen, Happy December to all! Thanks to all students, staff, and parents for making November a month filled with Olympic efforts and amazing learning! The 1 st Trimester Evergreen’s super students have reached a significant milestone- the 1 st Trimester! Students will be receiving their report cards this month, providing a golden opportunity to assess their progress toward mastery of the Common Core standards. Make sure you take Lme to sit down with your child and discuss: Areas of strength, and areas to improve. Did your child reach his/her goals? What are his/her goals for the next trimester? Has reading become something you enjoy and do daily? Reading is the most important ingredient for success! A,endance Ma,ers We need your help to maintain our goal of 96% aXendance this month. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest, and stays healthy. Make a plan for bringing your child to school on rainy days. We’ll keep them safe, warm, and dry! December is the Month of Caring Our character trait of the month is Caring. Children oYen focus on receiving presents during the holiday.
