IntroPsalm 143:10, "Lord, teach me to do your

will."  Lk.22:42, "Not my will but yours be done," John 4:34 he said, "I am come to do the will of

him that sent me." 

I. God wants you to be submissive (I Peter 2:13-15)—Submit yourselves for the Lord’ s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,  or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.   For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. James4:7, "S ubmit, therefore, to God."  Ephesians 5:21, "S ubmit to one another.”

Review

I. God wants you to be saved (II Peter 3:9) – “ The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”

II. God wants us to say thanks (I Thes. 5:18) – “ In everything give thanks; for this is God’ s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

I. God desires every believer to be sanctified (I Thes.4:3) – “ For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality.”
