17 Bible Stories – Brendon Clancy 2013 We met with the CEO Bob Hoskins founder of ONE HOPE MINISTRIES in Florida, USA in 2013. We love that they have a vision to reach every child on the planet with the Gospel by 2030. We spent 1 hour chatting with Bob about God’s love for children. He is 77 years old and began preaching at the age of 7. Wow, 70 years of service to Jesus so far!! He asked if Brendon could write a song to go with their 17 stories from the bible that they have produced for children. It’s a great song that brings the stories together with music and powerful lyrics. What a wonderful way to learn the stories and understand that everything in the bible points to Jesus. All about God – Brendon, Cathie and the Kids 2006 We were in Sabah Malaysia with 120 kids at our School of Worship. I asked the kids a question; “What is God like?” Well out came all the answers, I didn’t have enough room on the whiteboard to write everything down. We choose some of the words to describe that were the most common and that became the song. I wanted to call it God is Great BUT one of the kids called out and said; “Let’s call it All about God!!!!” What a great idea.

Amazing – (God’s Love is) Brendon and Cathie with the kids 2012 We wrote this song with kids from Robina on the Gold Coast Australia at our worship conference. The kids gave the words for the chorus and then Brendon thought it would be good to put in the words to Ps 23. Our son-in-law David taught this powerful Psalm to our grandchildren (Ike, Caleb and Imogen) with daddy’s help along the way they could say it by the time they were 4 yrs. old. David’s dad Bruce Stennett had taught it to him at the age of three. ARISE – Brendon Clancy 2001 In the year 2000 we met Gwen DeRozario from Singapore. We were in Alor Setar, Malaysia speaking at a Children’s Leaders Conference called “Superkids”. Gwen had a vision to see children and families gather in the indoor stadium in Singapore to praise and worship the Father. She was looking for a worship leader and when she saw us God said to her, “there’s your worship leader.” Gwen asked Brendon to write a song that could reflect the theme of the gathering, Arise. He actually wrote 2 songs (the first part verses and chorus, the second was what is the bridge in the song, Children of...) He sent the 2 songs to Gwen and she liked them both so he put them together.

Bless and Honour - Brendon and Cathie Clancy 2005 During a free worship time at iSOW in Singapore one of the kids sang out the phrase Praise the Lord and worship Him with a beautiful melody. We all sang it over and over. The presence of God was wonderful. Brendon made up the rest of the song on the spot. It works as a round and all the children can hear the other parts around them. It comes together with “Bless and honour Him”. I love singing this song with children to hear their voices in adoration of God is precious.

Daddy God - Cathie Clancy 2006 We were flying from LA in the USA home to Australia. I remember it was night time and l was sitting next to the window. The sky was back and the stars were shining so beautifully. I was thinking, “Wow, we are 38 thousand feet in the air.” My heart began to thank God for the time we had just had in the US and as well the thought of going home was so exciting. As I was sitting there this sweet melody filled my heart and the words formed and l sang the song in my head. I wrote it down straight away. I asked the Lord to tell me about this song. He said, “this is the song my Son sings to me.” I was overwhelmed…. After recording the song and singing it around the world many times; I was in the slums of Thailand on missions trip were l heard a little girl sing “Daddy God” in her language while walking down the street. She didn’t see me but l knew that she was blessing the Father with the song God gave to me. WOW!!! Designed to Shine – Brendon Clancy 2009 We were asked to be speakers at a Children’s Ministry Conference in Pretoria, South Africa. The theme of the conference was called Designed 2 Shine. Brendon being very clever wrote the song and everyone loved it. This song celebrates who we are in Christ and that we are made in the image of God. Jesus told us to let our light shine before men and this song demonstrates just that!

Equipped – Brendon Clancy 2009 What a fun time we had with a great bunch of kids at the EQUIPPED Kids Conference, Canberra Australia. Brendon wrote the song before the conference and when we introduced it to the kids and leaders everyone went crazy. It has a great lead break for some crazy dancing time. You will love this song. Every good and perfect gift – Brendon Clancy 1993 Brendon and l had just started as Children’s Church Leaders at a church in Melbourne Australia. I wanted to share on the scripture from James 1:17 during offering time. Well, Brendon just took that verse and began to make up a fun catchy tune. It really helped the kids learn the verse of by heart and understand that everything good comes from the Father. Everything to me – (I want to be like God) Brendon, Cathie and the Kids in NZ 2010 At our worship Conference in Hamilton New Zealand we had a corporate song writing time and the kids began to flow with words of love towards God. The children’s hearts were so open to God, His character, His goodness and they expressed their desire to be like Him in this song. Free the World – Brendon Clancy 1989 In 1990 we made a children’s album called “Oops it’s music”. I had so many fun tunes on it including; “Hug a tree”, “Families” and the title song “Opps”. “Free the world” was one of the ballads on the album. It proclaims the wonderful message of Christ’s birth and purpose for coming to earth. We had the privilege of singing it at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with a children’s choir 200 strong. It is sung every year in the Christmas season in schools and churches.

Go – The Great Commission - Brendon and the Kids in Singapore 2009 There was one year that we decided to have 2nd streamers at our International School of Worship in Singapore. I remember the 2nd group were very excited about having time with Brendon to write a new song. The theme came from Matt 28:19 were Jesus spoke to His disciples and told them to GO into the entire world. The song is a stirring piece of music using the scripture itself. It is a GREAT song to start or finish a meeting. God is in a good mood – Brendon and the kid at a Melbourne Camp 2009 We were with a great bunch of kids from C3 Bayside, Melbourne on a fun camp. The theme of the camp was God is in a good mood. All the kids had big smiley faces on their t-shirts; so did we. We had the best time writing this theme song together. It made everyone smile!!!! God You are great – Brendon, Cathie and the kids in Singapore 2010 I remember the joy on the kids’ faces as we started to write the words to this song on the whiteboard. Everyone was involved. The kids really wanted to include the animals in God’s creation and so they did. We made up the actions with a great friend of ours Ruth from Singapore. She has been instrumental in creating most of the actions for all our songs over the years.

Hallelujah Jesus – Brendon Clancy 1997 This simple, pure, love song to God was written when we were working and living in the Inner City of Melbourne. Many of the kids and youth were confused and neglected. Brendon just wanted to write a song to help them affirm their special friendship and everlasting relationship with Jesus. How good God is – Brendon, Cathie and the Kids in New Zealand 2011 New Zealand is a beautiful country with brilliant kids. We were in Wellington with our School of Worship. The kids and youth were having a fun time enjoying the presence of God and each other. When it came to song writing time they were ready to engage in another powerful worship moment. Such thankfulness rose from their hearts. Brendon was playing a simple but anointed tune as the children gave us the words of this song. The revelation of God’s goodness was shining through their hearts and words. Holy Spirit fills me up – Brendon and Cathie Clancy 2012 Brendon woke up with this fun tune one day and thought how he could convey the understanding of the love of God to little ones.It makes even the big kids smile and dance.

I know who l am – Brendon and Cathie Clancy 1996 In 1995 we began an inner city outreach in Melbourne with our church. It was called Operation STITCHES (Saving The Inner City Through Christ’s Hope Eternal Salvation) We saw over a thousand kids respond to God’s love over 7 years. This ministry goes on today. We found that the kids were really having a difficult time. Many had parents who were on drugs or alcohol affected. Brendon and l thought that they needed a song to declare that they were all children of God. To see themselves as loved by the Father and to know who they were in Christ Jesus. I love to sing about my God – Brendon and Cathie Clancy 2005 I remember being on a holiday with Brendon on the Gold Coast in Australia when we wrote this song. Sitting on the floor in the lounge room we laughed and sang and ate some fun food. The song is a reflection of our childlike hearts towards our loving Father. In the morning – Cathie Clancy 2006 One morning as I was reading my bible l came across the scripture from Ps 4 talking about what to do for the Lord in the morning. I picked up my guitar and began to play; a light and bright tune came out of my thankful heart!!! It is good to give thanks – Brendon Clancy 2004 Brendon opened up his bible and read this scripture. The next thing l knew there was a new song to praise God with. Ps 92:1-4. The kids really enjoy learning the rap in this song. It is challenging and full of truth.

It is time – Brendon Clancy 2010 Arise 2011’s theme was IT IS TIME. Once again Brendon took the scripture in Isaiah 61 and wrote a powerful melody to it. What a brilliant way to help children remember that the Spirit of the Lord is upon them. J E S U S – Cathie Clancy 1994 I just love the fact that there is power in the name of Jesus. His name is above every other name: sickness, pain, loss, grief, sadness, oppression, lack etc. I was mediating on His name when this song came out as l played the simple chords. I love the fact that it has an echo; anyone can catch onto it and sing it with all their might. Jesus is the reason – Brendon Clancy 2006 This Christmas song has so many wonderful elements to it. It is fun and tells the Christmas story so well. I remember being asked to lead a choir of 50 children to sing this song as we walked down Orchard Road in Singapore. We had people on the side of the road all singing along to Jesus is the reason, reason for the season. Jesus is alive in me – Brendon Clancy and the kids Singapore 2007 This song was written with a bunch of 8 year olds in Singapore. Ben Seah was one of those kids, the son of Steven and Gwen (Founders of ARISE). With super enthusiasm and lots of ideas the song was written. Brendon wanted to convey the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in a powerful way and all the kids caught on and contributed, especially Ben.

Jump to the beat - Candice Coppolino and Brendon Clancy 1998 Brendon and l used to work in the Inner City of Melbourne helping kids and families that were doing it tough. One family came to live with us for a while. Candice was around 12 years old and boy did she love to sing and dance, it was all part of her healing journey. She became part of our team and she was doing great. One morning she came bouncing down the stairs and told us she had written a song. It was fantastic!!! Brendon helped her with the music and off they went jumping to the beat!! Candice is married and just had her first baby a little boy. Woo Hoo

Jesus You are my Lord- Brendon and Cathie Clancy 1996 One morning Brendon got up early to spend time with the Lord. He was playing the piano and singing in the lounge room. I could faintly hear him. As I was waking up and began to sing a song from my love heart to God. “Jesus You are my Lord”…it came straight out of my mouth. The melody was beautiful and the anointing to worship was so strong. I jumped out of bed to join Brendon, he sang his song …” and I will worship You and l will lift You up and I will sing to You of Your majesty.” Wow, God is sooooooooooooooooooooooo good! People all over the world are still singing this song to worship Jesus and honour the Father. Just like my Lord - Cathie Clancy 2003 I remember reading the bible one day and seeing the scripture in Acts 10:38. How God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power…I thought, God I want to be like Jesus. He healed the sick, raised the dead, mended broken hearts and lives. This is when the song was birthed, in a moment, in a prayer and then I sang it out.

Love one another, what did Jesus do? - Brendon Clancy 2011 Brendon writes such amazing raps to help tell the story of God’s great love. At one stage he was hearing a lot of messages on the love of God and loving one another. He also had a revelation on what is true religion. This song was his way of expressing this message. If you are old enough you might remember the music of Santana, well Brendon has put rap twist to it.

I believe (Miracle Song) – Brendon and Cathie 1999 Both Brendon and l have been healed of cancer. We have received miracles from God and we know that He is willing and able to do anything according to His word. This song came in 2 parts. I wrote the opening verse and he wrote the amazing faith filled chorus’s. People love this song because it is faith filled. We have had so many testimonies of people singing this song through some of the most difficult times of their lives. There is power to heal in this song!! I love You because – Brendon, Cathie and the Kids in Japan 2012 We were in Osaka Japan for our School of Worship. 9 Senior Pastors came with their children and youth, plus some other leaders. We had a brilliant time singing, dancing and praising God. Brendon and l don’t speak Japanese so we worked with an interpreter. It was fun hearing that fantastic language spoken and sung. It was time to write a new song to the Lord with the students; I asked them to write down this sentence and finish it: God, I love You because….WOW, their answers became the song. Our interpreter immediately translated it and the kids sang it in Japanese.

Live it Up – Brendon Clancy 2006 Franklin Graham was coming to Melbourne for some Crusades and Andrew Shepherd from Kidsrus asked Brendon to write the theme song for the outreach. It was called LIVE IT UP!!! The Etihad stadium was filled with kids and families that day. Our spiritual daughters Candice, Sarah and Hannah sang with us. There were puppets and dances; it was the opening song for the event. So many people got saved that day, including Molly our niece. PRAISE GOD!!! More than words - Cathie Clancy 2005 Thank You, thank You, thank You God!!! That was my prayer in the morning as l strummed my guitar and sang to Him in my secret place. He knows me and He knows you and guess what??? He never stops pouring out his unfailing LOVE towards us. Sometimes l am speechless BUT most times l sing my thanks. My best friend – Cathie Clancy 2004 So many of the songs that I write are written in the morning when I am fresh and raring to go for the day. I find that it is the best time for me to focus on God and sing to Him. This is a very energetic song and it came out so quickly. Now the actions are pretty full on but they do express the power in praise. Go ahead and do them, you will feel great as He lifts you up and strengthens your life.

Paid the price – Brendon Clancy 1993 This song is a declaration of our salvation and the experience of encountering God’s unfailing love. We were going through bible school at the time it was written in the early 90’s and we were learning about the blood of Jesus. We are so grateful for His saving grace and still are. Ps 100 – Brendon Clancy 2013 There’s so much power in singing the word of God. Brendon sends much of his morning time reading the word of God with his guitar in hand or at the keyboard. He is so gifted in coming up with melodies to accompany the power of Gods life transforming word. You will love this song. Ps 150 Message Bible - Brendon Clancy 2011 We were in Singapore when l read the Message Bible version of Ps 150. I thought it was wonderful! Brendon thought it would be perfect for a song and off he went. Sing, shout, dance, praise – Brendon Clancy 2005 We needed a praise song for a new album called ARISE 2. Praise is declaring who God is and what He has done. This song is a celebration of God it tells us why He is worthy of all honour and glory.

Sing to the Lord – Cathie Clancy 1995 This song was written while sitting on the step of the stage at our church in Melbourne. No one was around and I just loved to pick up my guitar and sing on the spot to bless the Lord. The victory that l had found in Jesus was overwhelming me so l opened up my mouth and the song came out of my heart. As a church we would sing this song together declaring the finished work of Jesus at the cross of Calvary. To all Nations – Cathie and Brendon Clancy 2005 We were in Canada in winter, as l looked out of the window l could see the majestic Rocky mountains. They were white with snow and the scene was breath taking. I took up my guitar and began to strum strong and passionately. Out came the words, “Sing to all nations, Jesus Christ is King.” Over and over l sang as l imagined the whole earth filled with the knowledge of Jesus Christ King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It was sung at the 2005 ARISE gathering as the closing declaration. WOW, what a powerful way to finish the event. The Lord is with me – Brendon Clancy 1996 1996 was the year that we began the outreach to the children of the inner city. Brendon found a fun beat on the little keyboard we had and the drum beat inspired him to write a song. He wanted the children who were doing it tough to know that God was with them ALL THE TIME and that He would never leave them or reject them. They needed to hear that good news!!! With all of my Heart – Cathie Clancy 1996 It is not hard to love the Lord with all of our hearts, minds and strength. He is so wonderful; a song like this once again came out of a time of pouring out my love back to Him. It happens in the secret place, just Him and me. In LOVE!!!

What l Believe - Cathie Clancy 2012 One beautiful mercy filled day I picked up my guitar to play the Father a new song. I was lead to sing about my beliefs. I am so grateful to God for all He has given me and my family. It is wonderful to sing a song that confirms the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Woo Hoo – Brendon Clancy 1999 Well it was a busy day in the inner city of Melbourne. Brendon and l were getting ready for the kids to come to the after school program. We had a choir and we needed a new song to teach them. I said, “Hey, Brendon we need a new song for the kids to learn today.” He grabbed his guitar and started strumming and singing…If l believe it… etc... he looked out of the window and a bus went past with an add on the side of it…Oh what a feeling Toyota, WOO HOO….hahahaha This is one of the most popular songs that he has written, it is known as our signature tune. You are the One – Cathie Clancy 2003 Being thankful is one of my BIG things with God. He is so mighty and loving I just had to sing a new song to Him. I was stirred to make it strong and vibrate. I sang it over and over and over again. I still love to sing it to Him. You are the One is another great morning song; it is an anytime anywhere song. You are Holy – Brendon and Cathie Clancy 2010 Brendon had a melody that he was playing often but there were no words. One day I made up the verse and Brendon wrote the chorus. It was another one of those amazing moments when 2 songs come together.
