God Made People This story is based on Genesis 1:26-31; 2:18-22. God made the world. He made many beautiful plants for His world. Then God made fish and birds and animals. God looked at everything He made, and He saw that it was good. (Put hand above eyes, as if looking.) But then God said, “There needs to be someone to take care of the world I made.” So God made a man, and then He made a woman. The man’s name was Adam. The woman’s name was Eve. (Point to them as you repeat the names.) God told Adam and Eve to take care of the fish and the birds and the animals. Then God said, “I have made plants for food. You may eat the food I made.” God looked at everything He made. He saw that it was good. We can look at what God made and see how great God is. We can take good care of everything God made. And we can say, “God, You are very great.” Lesson 6
