FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME TODAY’S FOCUS: NOT KNOWING IT ALL
Jesus continually surprised people with unexpected wis-dom from unexpected sources. We still must be open to new knowledge coming to us from places we don’t ex-pect. Jesus invited the wise and learned know it all to change their hearts. He affirms the little, less learned, and may-be wiser ones. They seem more willing to learn from him. They are open to the discipline he offers. By doing so they grew in the Spirit of the god Jesus makes known.
Zechariah 9: 9-10 Psalm 145: 1
Romans 8: 9, 11-13 Matthew 11: 25-30
Praise to you Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for the gift of your light and your truth. Help us to accept weakness and burdens in ways that teach us your wis-dom, give us strength, and plant the seed of your peace in our hearts.

Begin With a Daily Offering
Father, here I am. I know you are always with me. I place my heart in the Heart of your son Jesus, who gives himself to us in the Eucharist each day. With Mary, Mother of the Church, I pray for the mis-sion of the Church, for all Apostles of Prayer, and for the intentions of the Pope this month.
