April 29-May 3 will be Educational week at Gobind Sarvar. Each day, we will have a special guest
speaker come in to talk about the importance of education in life and how the different professions
impact us, all around.
E.L.A Testing May 30 & 31 we will be focusing on reading (E.L.A) testing for the students. As we

Lunch Options for the month of May
Lunch options for the month of May will remain the same this month where Monday will be
roti day, Tuesday will be rice & salad day, Wednesday will be pizza/pasta day, Thursday
will be healthy sandwich day and Friday will be your choice of food. These food options
are suggestions for your child as it was brought to the school’s attention by other parents
during PAC meetings, that their children were not eating their lunch. It was a collective
decision that if all students brought in the same type of food, no student would feel
segregated from the rest.
Theme of the month: Creativity/ Appreciation
Creativity, is an energy that resides in all of us, when channeled in the right direction, it
can aid in releasing emotions from within the mind that may have been suppressed at an
earlier time, for a long period. As the end of the year is approaching, we will have the
students focus on creating a token of appreciation for a staff member of the school in the
art form of a flower. Each student will create a flower with a message of appreciation
attached to it. We will hang each flower created by the students on the gym board and
at the end of the month, we will distribute the flowers to the respective staff members. The
idea behind this activity is so the students learn how to release emotional stress, through
art. Students will also be learning how to genuinely appreciate others who help us grow
intellectually and spiritually. Each staff member puts in a lot of hard work and
determination to help make the school year successful. This month’s core value is
creativity and so we will be implementing that as well by having the students create a
flower of their choice.
