Alice Gonzales will again be

spearheading this program for the

District Clerk’s personnel. The 10-

week challenge runs from Sept. 28th

to Dec. 4th. Meetings are held on

Thursdays from 12-1:00 p.m. Possible

prizes include: elliptical, bike, treadmill, gift cards,

and more. Kudos to those folks who are working

toward creating a healthy lifestyle for themselves!!

perfect boxes in a row AND her

boxes before that have had zero

to minimal errors. Out of 11

boxes scanned this year,

Roxanne has seven boxes with

NO, ZERO, ERRORS!!!! Total

errors for the four remaining

boxes – 8!!! Keep up the good

On Nov. 1st, the celebration known in Mexico and Latin America as Dia de Los Muertos begins. This two day celebration has its origins in the year 1800 B.C. ! It’s a time to pay respect to those who have passed away and to celebrate life. Altars (altares) are erected to honor the departed loved one. Altars can be a works of art and are typically decorated

with a photo of the loved one, a holy cross, pande muerto, paper skulls, papel picado, favorite foods, and brightly-colored flowers such as marigolds. Pictured to the left is la Catrina who proves that even the wealthy can’t avoid death.
