INTRODUCTION“Go Green” is an Earth-friendly approach to living. This means the choices you make in your day-to-

day life are in the best interest of the environment.

It means supporting the conservation of earth’s Natural Resources as well as supporting the “Preservation of your Personal Resources”, i.e. your Family , Businesses, Lifestyles, Communities and your Legacy.

To “go green” is a metaphor for a cause, but the cause is not the one you might think it is.

Green is not about saving energy, it is not about conversation or living more efficiently by recycling.

Green is about saving NATURE from YOU.

Basic Principles of Going Green Reduce Pollution Conserve Resources Conserve Energy Reduce Consumption & Waste Protect the Earth’s ecological balance

The Three R’s REDUCE means using fewer

resources and reducing the amount of waste you produce.

REUSE means that before you recycle or dispose of anything you can find ways to use them again.

RECYCLE is a process to change waste materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials.

Why it is important to Go Green? The biggest reasons to go green is that the Earth

contains a fixed amount of resources. The choices people make have an impact on the entire

planet. Polluted air and water affects every other living thing ,i.e. GLOBAL WARMING by carbon emissions. Going Green can also have positive effects on personal

health. Going Green can have economic benefits for

communities, businesses and households. On a business level, going green can help improve an organization’s reputation.

Global Warming Causes Global warming is caused by the release of carbon emissions into the atmosphere. When carbon gases are released in the air, they act like a blanket shield that traps heat in our atmosphere and warms up the planet. Scientists quantify it as the rise in average temperature of the Earth’s surface and oceans. Most of it has been caused by the increase in concentrations in greenhouse gases produced by humans burning fossil fuels and by the effects of deforestation.

Go Green for products and company INCREASE THE CONSUMER

DEMAND When the company is more into go green concepts, customers will satisfy about their products. Healthy environments is an expectation of the society. It creates better image and increase the customer loyalty.

Pleasanton ,California by Jill Buck.

The Go Green Initiative is an environmental education and stewardship program located in all 50 US states and in 73 countries.
