Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by President Deb
Opening prayer said by Chaplain Laurie
Pledge of Allegiance and Preamble said by membership.
Roll call done by Secretary Rosie
Laurie requested a change in the minutes of Karolyn name changed to Laurie for Hospital Chairperson
Motion made by Robbie Huss and seconded by Hannah Spindler to by pass the reading of the minutes. Motion carried
Treasurer: Chris read her monthly report
Secretary: Rosie read correspondences. Thank You from…Salvation Army for mittens, The Haven with a list of items that they could use donated to them, North Ridge Rehabilitation Center for the yarn, and American Legion Riders for the donation of wreaths
Americanism: Mary reported Pick n Save is having a food drive now through November 15. With the food packages to be packed on the 20th and shipped out. She is still working on Christmas with the Vets. Mary reported Thrivent Financial approached her and asked if the AMVETS Auxiliary would help with the shopping and distribution of gifts to Veterans. Motion made by Mary Pohl to help Thrivent Financial with there project
of Christmas with the Veterans. Seconded by Karen Spittlemeister. Discussion had. Motion carried
First Vice: Rosie reminded members that yearly dues are due at $17.50 per member
Child Welfare: Mary reported there were 8 participants for Trunk and Treat with lots of kids. She also reported Sat, Dec 8 will be Breakfast with Santa from 10:00 to noon
Community: Karolyn stated she received a calendar from PAWS for Purple Hearts for the Soldiers and was asked for a donation. Discussion was had and the membership decided to table it till spring when more information about the project could be presented to the membership
Scholarship: No report
Hospital: Laurie stated she has no idea who donated the yarn to Northridge Rehab. Laurie asked if the embroidery used goes towards credit for auxiliary
Chaplain: Laurie stated she sent a get well card to past President Jean Schwark
Sergeant at Arms: No report
Parliamentarian: No report
Historian: Karolyn states she is gathering items for the album. She asked if anyone has anything pertaining to the AMVETS to please give to her. Such as pictures…newspaper articles…etc

Unfi nished Business: Karen Spittlemeister reported she attended the Department Fund Raiser in Oshkosh • Discussion about items brought in and who gets it and credit for it again • Clarified that the covers of greeting cards to be sent to St. Judes Ranch for Children 100 St. Judes Street Boulder City NV 89005
New Business: Robbie Huss brought up that there is no actual meeting next month but suggested we have a Christmas potluck get together. Membership voted YES! • The AMVETS Annual Christmas Dinner to be held at City Limits on Thu, Dec 20 • President Deb brought up that there are Raffle tickets for the State. Karen Spittlemeister made a motion that what the members do not sell the department would purchase. Seconded by Chris Mahloch. Motion carried.
