NEW PROJECTS SECURED

Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd recently secureda project for a proposed tourist recreational andcommercial development at KK Times Square(Phase II) in Kota Kinabalu. This project wasawarded by Syarikat Kapasi Sdn Bhd, a companyunder public-listed Asian Pac Holdings Bhd withthe contract value of RM470,337,737.

The development for KK Times Square (Phase II)consists of a four-storey tourist arcade, abasement car park with retail/arcade, five blocksof service apartments comprising 631 units, anda five-storey elevated car park on TL 017533505along the coastal highway at Sembulan, which isin a prime area of Kota Kinabalu.

Bina Puri Construction has been given a timeframe of 26 months to complete this project.

MAHB VISITED KLIA2 SITETan Sri Bashir Ahmad Abdul Majid, the Managing Directorof MAHB and a team from MAHB visited our KLIA2 siterecently to update themselves on the progress of theconstruction activities.

Y.Bhg Tan Sri Datuk Tee Hock Seng, JP, Group ManagingDirector, Bina Puri Holdings and Y.Bhg Datuk Henry Teetogether with our Senior Management team were present athand to welcome the visitors.

A site tour and briefing was conducted by the ProjectDirector. BINA PURI-UEMC Joint Venture is the turnkeycontractor for the KLIA2 project for two packages - PackageTB01 A – Main Terminal Building and Package TB01 B –Satellite Building, Sky Bridge and Piers. This new KLIA2terminal will have the capacity of handling 30 millionpassengers per annum. Currently the progress at site as atDec 2011 is 52.9%.

AMPANG LIGHTRAIL TRANSIT (LRT) LINE EXTENSION -PACKAGE 1A

The project involvesconstruction of a 30-storeyoffice tower and 2 blocks of 9-storey buildings for the newSabah State AdministrativeCentre on a 15 acre land sitealong the shoreline overlookingthe South China Sea. The towerwill also house the Sabah ChiefMinister’s office together withhis cabinet Ministers.

The progress work is almost3% with target completion inFebruary 2014.

The Construction and Completion of FacilitiesWorks (Package A) for the Ampang (AMG) LineExtension Project involves a 17.4km extension ofthe Ampang Line between Sri Petaling to StationNo. 5 (Jalan Kinrara).

The scope of works include all guideway sub-structure and main structure works, foundationwork for stations and traction power sub-stations(TPSS), to launch and install segmental boxgirders and to supply and install parapets andnoise barriers.

It also includes the fabrication and delivery of thesegmental box girders (SBGs).

The project is already 15% in progress with targetcompletion in May 2013.

The Proposed Development of aBusiness Center comprising FourTowers of 33-storey ServicedApartments (including 5-storeycarpark), and 3-storey Retail Podiumwith 2-storey carpark on lot H.S.(D)108340 (PT 3466), Jalan Hicom-

Puchong, UEP Subang Jaya, MukimDamansara, Daerah Petaling,Selangor.

The progress of this development isabout 9% with target completion inOctober 2012.

SERVICE APARTMENTS ANDRETAIL SPACE AT USJ21(TAIPAN SQUARE)





The proposed development consists of 3 Blockswith 23 units of 4 and 5 storey Pool Villas withunique features such as Private Lift, CourtyardGarden, Koi Pond, Roof Top Lap Pool and Garden.It is serviced by a Clubhouse with facilities suchas a Library, Gymnasium, Dining Area, Yoga Roomand etc.

The development is located very strategicallywithin 2km from the Causeway and Johor Bahrutown centre. Supermarkets, Private Hospitals anda Golf Course are located minutes away.

This project is a joint venture between the JohorState Government and Bina Puri Holdings Bhdwith gross development value approximately RM96 million.

The physical works have already started in August2011 and expected completion by February 2013.Site clearance, Earthworks, Silt Trap, Hoarding andWashing Bay have already been completed andcurrently piling works are in progress.

2 units of Show Houses together with theClubhouse are expected to be ready by April2012.

The built-up area for each unit ranges from 5,587 sq ft to 7,244 sq ft. The units will bemarketed as fully furnished units, priced betweenRM4,000,000 to RM4,800,000; so all you need isyour suit cases to move in.

Itwill ensure the benefit of new business as well asa better retention of old that will be invaluable toorganisations in the current economic climate.

Realizing these facts, Maskimi Polyol Sdn Bhdhad decided to implement Quality ManagementSystem complying with ISO 9001 : 2008 into itsdaily operations since early 2010. Finally,Maskimi Polyol succeeded in obtaining the ISO9001 : 2008 certification on 11 October 2011 forthe scopes:

1. Formulation and Production of Natural OilPolyols (NOP) and NOP Based PolyurethaneSystems;

2. Trading of Isocyanates, Based Polyols andPolyurethane Additives.

It is hoped that the ISO guidelines will provide acomprehensive model for quality managementsystems that can make Maskimi Polyol morecompetitive. At the same time to ensure a higherretention rate of existing customers bydemonstrating that Maskimi Polyol operates tothe highest of standards.


Bina Puri Sport & Social Club (KSSBP) organiseda trip to Zhangjiajie, China from 15th to 20thSeptember 2011. A total of 41 club membersparticipated in the trip. They took a flight toChangsha transit in Guangzhou, thereafter bycoach to Zhangjiajie.

Some of the interesting places visited were TianMen Mountain, Tian Zi Mountain, Yuanjiajie,Phoenix Ancient City, Shaoshan, Xiang River andetc. They also experienced the world’s longestcable car, the world’s highest and fastest outdoorsightseeing elevator – Bailong Elevator and theworld’s fastest High-speed bullet train.

KSSBP organized a trip to Jakarta – Bandungfrom 30th September 2011 -3rd October 2011. Atotal of 32 members participated in the trip whichalso included Y.Bhg Dato’ Wong Foon Meng andTo’ Puan Heng Cheng Leng, Y.Bhg Tan Sri DatukTee Hock Seng and Pn Sri, and Dr Tony Tan ChengKiat. Others included Mr Matthew Tee and his

family, Mr Tan Kwe Hee and the rest of othermembers. Upon our arrival, we were welcomedat Novotel Hotel Mangga Dua, Jakarta and themembers had a great time shopping at ManggaDua Complex. The next day (day 2) our groupdeparted for Bandung and arrived at Bandung atabout 3.00pm and proceeded to the next

shopping destination at Factory Outlet, whichwas the higlight of the trip. After the shopping,we put up at Grand Setia Budi Hotel. Othersplaces of interest visited were the Trans Studio inBandung, Taman Miniature, Indonesia in Jakarta,shoppings archades like Pasar Baru, Rumah Modeand others. Everyone had an enjoyable trip.
