Global Warming-A hot Environmental Topic

Global Warming, aside from pollution is of the largest scientist's concerns. Global Warming

is the term used to report increase in the temperature of the Earth. It is the technique

which is continuously warming the earth. The Earth's surface temperature has risen by

about degree Fahrenheit historically century, with accelerated warming in the work of the

past decades.

There is stronger facts and proof that most of the warming over the last fifty years is

attributable to activities of human. Human activities have changed the chemical

composition of the atmosphere and surroundings through the buildup of greenhouse gases,

which are main cause of Global Warming.

The atmosphere of our planet Earth is warming up quickly, due to burning of coal in power

plant on large scale leading to discharge of carbon dioxide on the excessive amount in the

atmosphere. The major source of emission of carbon dioxide in atmosphere in today's

sense is immeasurable number of vehicles jogging on the road, leads to a quick increase in

the temperature of the earth's atmosphere.

Cutting down the trees across the world is another major cause. It is predicted that thirty-

four acres of trees are cut & burned every year that leads to about 25 % of carbon dioxide

released in the atmosphere. Over growth in population cannot be neglected as it

contributes in emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere

Global warming is solemn issue that ought to be taken care of with suitable measures. I

would recommend everyone to keep away from travelling through carbon emitting

vehicles & ride bicycle or walk whenever feasible, replace all lights in the house with

efficient fluorescent lights, neat the filters of appliances regularly, wash clothes in cold

water & prefer to line dry than machine dry, use low flow shower in order to keep away

from wastage of water, reduce the rubbish, unplug the electronic items when not being

used, plant trees as much as you can, your house ought to be well insulated, paper & paper

products ought to be recycled, try & make best out of waste.

As it is said that prevention is better than cure, we ought to take appropriate measures to

preserve our planet earth. So let us contribute a bit.

The current episode of global warming is not natural, is being brought on by human activities

for example using fossil fuels & deforestation, & will cause irreparable hurt to our planet & way

of lifestyle if actions are not taken to decrease or eradicate the quantity of CO2 that is emitted

in to our surroundings as against those that think the existing episode of global warming is

perfectly natural & that there is no or small require to curtail our utilization of fossil fuels &

deforestation.
