Due to increased investment and success, our client is now looking to strengthen operation by appointing a Global Sales Manager based in central London. The Role This appointment is to lead, develop new and existing sales globally in line with the strategy and cultural demand. The primary focus of the position will be to oversee and develop the optical division sales. The role will be broken into three core areas: In regions/countries the company has NO representation of any kind; to identify and source credible representation through sales agents/representative or distribution In regions/countries the company has limited or existing representation via employees, sales agents/representative and distribution; to work to a strategy to develop an increase in sales revenue Man management of the existing sale team both internal and external As the interface for global sales, the successful candidate will be able to display a level of commercial awareness, direct sales skills, account development skills, being both resourceful and creative in development of sales strategy into independent opticians worldwide. The Individual The qualities of the successful candidate will include an enthusiastic approach to direct sales, a verifiable track record of sales, an ability to immediately deliver direct results globally, a full knowledge of the industry, as well as a commercial awareness of the needs of the business including budget expectation and control, delivery of sales revenue, margin restraints a forward thinking approach to direct marketing activity. A verifiable track record in optical frames / lens on a global level is essential together with the skills needed to develop and maintain commercially productive relationships. A good commercial awareness, an ability to quickly recognise business opportunities and a desire to absorb product knowledge is also required..
