D2 GASOIL – DIESELD2 is a refinery abbreviation for Gasoil. It is the second distillate from thecrude, and can be used without reformers and additives. The GOST variantfor D2/Gasoil is GOST 305-82 and specifies now a sulphur content of 0.02MAX which is according to the ISO standard. However, the ANSI standard willcall this "Ultra Low Sulphur", and retain 0.2% (2000ppm) as the "Low sulphur.The reduction of sulphur in the Gasoil used for heating has contributed toless pollution in many cities.

AVIATION KEROSENE COLONIAL GRADE JP54Jet fuel is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in aircraft powered by gas-turbine engines. It is clear to straw coloured. The most common fuels are JetA and Jet A-1 which are produced to an internationally standardized set ofspecifications. The only other jet fuel that is commonly used in civilianturbine engine-powered aviation is called Jet B and is used for its enhancedcold-weather performance.

MAZUT M100There are four distinct grades of mazut fuel oil Very Low Sulfur, Low Sulfur,Normal, and High Sulfur which range between 0.005 and 0.035 in sulfurcontent. The amount of sulfur affects how clean the oil burns, and in turn theemissions it creates, and the amount of build up that accumulates within theengines and furnaces that burn it

LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG)LNG is natural gas in its liquid form. Specifically, it is natural gas that has beencooled to minus 260 degrees Farenheit, the point at which gas condenses toa liquid. In its liquid state, LNG is a clear liquid with a density about half thatof water. This volume reduction permits cost-effective transportation of LNG

over long distances.

Global Oil 57 own oil field at 70% share in SARATOVRussia, under Saratov Oil Resource. The Greenfield OilBlocks in Saratov region in the Volga Ural, are among theprominent oil reserves that will cater to the world’s oilrequirement in the near future.

Only 25% of the prospective oil bearing structures havebeen licensed and only 15 percent of the potential reserveshave been open. This region has huge reserves ofhydrocarbons and natural gas and/or condensates.

Seismic studies have been conducted and the total reserves in the 6 oil fields are estimated at 188.7Million Tonnes of oil reserves equivalent to 1.4 billion barrels with significant upside potential. The total possible reserves at market value is at US$ 140billion.

OIL EXPLORATION LOCATION & MAP

Administratively, the field Zhuravlinsky is situated within the borders of Perelyubsky District, Saratov Oblast.

The area of the field amounts to 145.7 km2 The nearest residential places are: the village Zhuravli which is situated within the borders of

the field; 1 - 10 km away from the field, the villages Ozersky, Novokachanovsky, Gusarka, Novaya Porubezhka, Smorodinka, Grachev Kust are located.

The district is characterized by developed power-producing and transport infrastructures. The traffic network is represented by grader and dirt roads. The trunk asphalt highway Saratov-Pugachev-Perelyub is situated 10 km away to the north of

the field. The nearest railway station Smorodinka is located 10.5 km away to the north-north-east. 58 km to the south of Zhuravlinsky passes the railway “Saratov-Ulyanovsk”, with the nearest

railway station Ozinki.

OIL EXPLORATION LOCATION & MAP

The relief of the territory is represented by an accidental terrain dissected by nullahs, ravines, and gulches. The absolute heights of the relief vary within the range of 40 - 140 in watersheds.

The hydrographic network comprises the rivers Kamelik and Sestra, along with the Sestratributes - Biryuchy Dol, Sukh. Kamelik. The confluents dry up substantially in drought periods thus forming a chain of reaches. The width of the confluents reaches 6 m. There are artificial reservoirs - ponds, within the borders of the field.

The climate of the district is temperate continental, it is characterized by cold winter and hot summer. The air temperature varies from minus 35оС in winter to plus 35оС in summer. The average annual precipitation amounts to 300-400 mm. The prevailing wind direction in summer is western or north-western; in winter - south-western. The maximum wind speed is 11 m/sec, the average annual wind speed is 3.6 m/s.

The vegetation of the territory is represented by typical steppe herbage. The forest coverage -10 % of the total area - consists of scrub which is associated with nullahs, slopes of ravines, and of forest plantation.
