Leadership with a Broad Experience Base:Global Edison was founded by a group of international businessmen

with the purpose of filling the energy demands of Asia and Africa. The founders bring together a diverse set of backgrounds in finance, project development, architecture, engineering, construction, environmental conservation, government relations, security, technology, logistics and

Mr. Kohan has extensive experience in the businessdevelopment of Power Generation projects and in themanagement and engineering of power generation,natural gas and the power utility business in the US and inforeign markets. Has held executive positions where hemanaged Build Own and Transfer (BOT), engineering andsales organizations involved in heavy power generationequipment and systems such as the General Electric Co.,Solar Turbines International (a Caterpillar company), theTurbosystems International Division of Sulzer EscherWyss,Ltd., ENI Cogeneration, the New York State Electric & GasCorporation, the MetroGas, S. A. (Argentina) Division ofBritish Gas, the Entergy Power Group and International GasConsultants Inc. He holds an MSEE in ElectromechanicalEngineering-Major in Power degree from the University ofBuenos Aires, Argentina and an MS in Operations Researchfrom Union College, New York, and is a registeredProfessional Engineer in New York and Texas.


Raul E. Arrondo

Vice President


Mr. Arrondo has extensive experience in the businessdevelopment of Power Generation projects and in themanagement, strategic planning and engineering ofindependent power generation and cogeneration projectsin the US and abroad. He has held top executive positionswith engineering, development, sales and serviceorganizations in power generation such as Grove EnergySystems, R. B. Grove, Inc. and represented manufacturerssuch as Rolls-Royce Energy Systems, Mirrless Blackstone,Cummins/Onan, Perkins (a Caterpillar Company) and JohnDeere. Has developed independent power projects inconjunction with Suez/Tractebel, Enron, Destec-AES,Centrans Energy, Ormat and King Ranch Power Corp. Mr.Arrondo holds a BSEE degree with a major in Power fromthe University of Miami, Florida, USA, and is a CertifiedCogeneration Professional (AEE).


Giovanni Antonietta

Director of Business Development


Mr. Antonietta has considerable experience in themanagement of Engineering, Procurement andConstruction (EPC) power generation and oil and gasprojects and international turn-key operations, includingexecutive managing of project design, engineering,budgeting, logistics, purchasing, contracting, projectmanagement, technical review, ISO 9000 auditing anddocumentation, commissioning. He has held managementposition internationally with Caterpillar/Pantropic Power,Energy International, Teledyne Electronic, COTEMA andPETROBRAS. Mr. Antonietta holds a BSME fromUniversidade Santa Ursula in Brazil and Post Graduatestudies in Engineering Management at the University ofCalifornia, San Diego, USA and is a Certified ISO 9000Quality Auditor.


Boni Garofalo

Director of Special Projects


Mr. Garofalo has an extensive experience in topmanagement positions with power utility companies suchas CA La Electricidad de Caracas (ELECAR) and CALIFE inVenezuela, executive positions with manufacturers,installation, construction and service companies such asGeneradores de Vapor CA, Turbinas y Generadores CA(TURGENCA), Transformadores Caracas SA (TRANSCASA)and main power consultant to Enron. His experience includes the executive management and development ofmajor turn-key utility and independent power generationprojects and their subsequent operation and maintenance.Mr. Garofalo holds an MS from AOTS, Tokyio, Japan, a BSIEfrom Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, Caracas,Venezuela with an Electromechanical Minor and Post-Graduate studies in Generation Protection, SubstationDesign, Transmission and Distribution Power Lines,Administration and Finance at the University of Missouri,Rolla, MS, USA.


Andres Jaramillo

Director of Projects


Mr. Jaramillo has 16 years of International Gas and Steamturbine maintenance and installation services managementexperience. He has held a wide range of positions startingfrom Field Engineer to Service Director for an internationalregion within the power generation structure of GeneralElectric. He brings significant experience with labormanagement and technical resources management andsolid equipment knowledge which makes him anexperienced project manager within the turbine powergeneration segment. His experience in the administrativemanagement of an installation and services businessprovide him the tools to plan, execute and close outprojects successfully. He holds a Bachelors Degree inBusiness Administration from Florida internationalUniversity along with Petroleum Engineering studies in hisnative Colombia.


Jose Benitez

Director of Engineering


Mr. Benitez has an extensive experience in Engineering,first as a professor and later as a consultant responsible forthe design and construction of a wide variety of powergeneration projects internationally. His experience includesmanagement or advisory positions with CAE Ltd Colombia,ECOPETROL, ECOGAS, Transmetano, Gas Natural S. A.,PROMIGAS, Cerro Matoso, all in Colombia, and hasdesigned and built major power plants in Colombia, Peru,Honduras, Surinam and the Dominican Republic. Mr.Benitez holds degrees in Nuclear Engineering from theUniversity of Havana, Cuba and the Moscow PowerInstitute, Russia, and anMS degree from the PolytechnicalUniversity of Madrid, Spain. He is a Distributed Generationand Cogeneration Cerfified Professional (AEE) and a SeniorMember of the ASME.
