Dear & Distinguished Delegates,
A hearty welcome to the city of New York, the financial nerve-center of the world.
Fourth Academic Research Conference on Global Business, Economics, Finance & Social Sciences! Theme: Research for a Sustainable Future! Economists argue that sustainable economic growth is economic development that sustains the natural resources and the environment for future generations. The nature has provided us with a lot of natural resources such as land, labor, forests and the ecosystem. So, efforts should be initiated to preserve the sustainable energy sources to meet the world’s current and future energy needs.
Depletion of Natural Resources!
Human activities such as cutting of trees and pollution have caused extensive damage to the environment. Pollution causes a lot of serious health hazards and the result is that human beings live in misery and the quality of life is seriously affected. In a nutshell, destroying the environment means destroying our life and our future.
Sustainable Economic Growth!
So, to ensure growth, human development and long-term benefits, sustainable growth is extremely important.
International Conference on Marketing & Tourism
The economic models of the digital era are more disruptive than evolutionary and are very different to those practiced by traditional enterprises. This implies that digital transformation is not the sum of a few client-oriented projects but something that touches every aspect of the business. It requires rethinking the activities of the business across five axes:
1. Customer experience, adapted to the unique needs of each client. 2. Business model, operating across channels and the whole ecosystem. 3. Operational effectiveness, with data-centric processes and a focus on results. 4. Digital-native organizations can change their modus operandi in flight, in order to improve performance and deliver better customer service. 5. The Challenge for traditional organisations is to deliver comparable flexibility.
Change the culture by bringing in new blood! The ultimate key to digital transformation is changing the spirit of the business so that everyone thinks ‘digital first.’ This is only possible if the management impetus is strong: in years to come, digital should become a board-level topic reaching across the organization. At its current maturity, however, recruitment of a Chief Digital Officer, reporting to the board, enables digital to encompass the organization chart and drive transformation forward.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Plane: Three major airports serve New York City. Wagner College is best accessed from
Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, though LaGuardia and JFK Airports
are within reasonable travel distance. Car service is available between Wagner College
and all three airports for around $50 each way. For more information on local airports,
see the Port Authority of PA, NY & NJ website.
Train or Subway: Amtrak, Long Island Railroad, and New Jersey Transit trains arrive at
Penn Station in Manhattan at 34th Street and 7th Avenue. Wagner College can be
reached from Manhattan by taking the Staten Island Ferry, leaving at regular intervals
throughout the day from the ferry terminal on the southern tip of Manhattan.
From Penn Station, take either a taxicab or the New York City Subway to the South Ferry
Terminal. We recommend taking the 1 line to the South Ferry Terminal. A subway ride
currently costs $2.75, if you use MetroCard, transfers to other trains or buses are free
for two hours after the first fare is purchased. Take the Staten Island Ferry (free!) to
Staten Island. For ferry service departure information, dial (718) 815-BOAT. The ferry trip
takes about 25 minutes, and is free. Once on Staten Island the two main options to reach
Wagner from the ferry terminal are either by car service or bus. Wagner offers shuttle
service (free) from the ferry to campus 7 days a week. Once you disembark from the
ferry, follow signs for the Wagner College Shuttle, which is located on the upper level.
Click here for the shuttle schedule.
From Ferry by Car Service, either ask the ferry terminal attendant for help calling for
service, use a car that is waiting at the terminal, or call the office you are visiting
beforehand for recommendations of the services we use most frequently. A typical car
service fare is about $10 for two passengers, and is only about a 15 minute trip.
