Also, we are immensely pleased to present the Thirteenth Asia-Pacific Conference on Global Business, Economics, Finance and Banking & International Conference on Corporate Governance & Business Ethics to you all! According to surveys and research reports, Singapore, indeed, is considered as a global commerce, finance and transport hub. Its standings include: the most "technology-ready" nation (WEF), top International-meetings city (UIA), city with "best investment potential" (BERI), second-most competitive country, third-largest foreign exchange market, third-largest financial centre, third-largest oil refining and trading centre, and the second-busiest container port. A great city-state in South East Asia with ultra-modern facilities and transportation facilities.

Focus on the Future! (AP17Singapore Conference) The primary theme of the upcoming academic research conference is ‘Focus on the Future!’. The global economy faces many challenges! While low oil prices and weak growth affect oil-exporting economies in the Middle East, many European economies do face sluggish growth owing to many reasons. Although so many far reaching measures have been initiated by these governments, they are yet to yield tangible results.

Slowing Chinese economy and reduction in commodity prices also send mixed signals about the future of global economy. Emerging economies such as Brazil, South Africa, India, Thailand and a few other economies also have registered signs of growth prospects, of course, with mixed signals.

Future Appears Great! Although temporary problems appear to be tampering the growth of the global economy, the future appears to be ‘excellent’ as every nation works on nullifying the factors that contribute to slowdowns and recessions.

Coordinated Effort! The Need of the Hour!! Undoubtedly, coordinated efforts among nations would certainly go a long way in ensuring rapid economic growth in the long run. More specifically, nations should work on real GDP growth, low inflation, full employment, satisfactory current account balances, export of goods and services, higher per capita income etc. On the other hand,

policy makers should also ensure the following: reducing national debt to prudent levels, fixing the problems of income inequality, reducing carbon emissions etc.,

Enhancing ROI through Ethical Behavior (IC17Singapore Conference) Ethical Behavior! A Very Important Phenomenon! Adhering to ethical practices and corporate social responsibility brings about a lot of significant benefits to business. Unethical behavior of corporate establishments clearly damage the reputation of a company and would not be liked by its own stakeholders. In the long run, profit might nose-dive.

Profit Alone is not the Primary Focus! Gone are the days when corporate entities and businesses focused only on profit. Of late, the focus understandably, is on firm value maximization. Registration

Upon arrival at the Conference venue, please proceed to the Jade Room I to complete

the registration. There will be signage/written direction to help you to locate us. You may

also enquire at the front desk for directions to the Conference room.

Please note that registration desk will be open from 8.30 am to 9.30 am on 4 August,

2017.

Please report either to Dr. Elango Rengasamy or any volunteer for completing your registration. If you have already remitted the conference fee, you will receive a folder comprising conference items and agenda.

Conference proceedings

Conference proceedings will be available ‘online’.

All the papers that are listed in the Conference handbook will be available online on our

website.

Presentation Room

On August 4 & 5, we will be using the presentation room Jade Room I.

What should you bring along for your presentation? Please bring the PPT of your research paper in a pen-drive. Please print at least 10-12 copies of your full paper and hand them to the chair and participants of the session at the beginning of your presentation. If you have already sent your ppt to us, it will be ready for presentation. Each author will have about 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions

and discussion. Kindly stick to the allocated time limits, please.

The meeting room has an LCD projector and a laptop computer for you to make your

presentation.

***Please ensure that you save your presentation file both in 2010/2013 versions.

Coffee and Lunch Break

Coffee and snacks will be served twice (morning and evening) in Lobby. Lunch will be served at the Spice Restaurant.

Best Paper Award ‘Best Paper’ is selected on the basis of a set of selected criteria. Reviewers’ report is the

key factor in selecting the best research papers. The best paper awards will be

announced at the conference.

Best Presenter Award (Only for Research Scholars) Best Presenter Awards will be presented only to research scholars/young researchers who make outstanding presentations in each track which will be based on the recommendations of the Chair/Observers of the respective technical sessions. If sufficient number of research scholars do not participate, this award would not be presented.

Publication of your Paper

All the accepted papers will be published in the form of ‘Conference proceedings’. It will

also be published in our journals provided you have opted for it and made significant

improvements on the papers in light of the Reviewers’ reports/suggestions.
