Dear Colleagues,

Vigilance Awareness Week - 2015(VAW-2015) was observed throughout our organisation from 26th Oct to 31st Oct 2015 with much enthusiasm and focus on the theme “Preventive Vigilance as a tool of Good Governance”.

As mandated by the Central Vigilance Commission, thrust was

given to spread awareness amongst the young generation by way of conducting elocution/essay competitions in the schools and colleges. Preliminary rounds of the elocution competition was followed by final competition for selected students from preliminary round. Competitions in essay writing, quiz, painting, slogan writing etc., were also conducted for the employees of the Divisions. It may be mentioned that the competitions were held in 43 Schools/Colleges located at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Nasik, Koraput and Barrackpore (Kolkata).

Apart from the above competitions, various other events were also

organized as a part of observance of VAW-2015. Team Vigilance has decided to share this information with all our colleagues in HAL through this e-report, covering all the activities held in various Divisions of HAL, so that the efforts of Team Vigilance and the management at Divisional/Complex/Corporate office are well appreciated.

All the activities starting from the inaugural programme to

ELOCUTION

COMPETITION

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK -2015

As per the guidelines of CVC , Elocution Competitions were

conducted at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Kanpur,

Koraput, Barrackpore and Nasik to ensure a wider outreach

for creation of Awareness on corruption and its effects

amongst the youth and college students. Accordingly, a

team of Vigilance Officers conducted preliminary rounds of

elocution competitions in various Bangalore based colleges

and three students from each college were selected for

participation in the final Competition. The final competition

for Bangalore based colleges was held at HAL Corporate

Office.

During the Vigilance Awareness Week,

Competitions like Painting, Quiz, Slogan Writing,

Essay Writing were organized at various Divisions.

Apart from these Dance Performance, Skit play,

Vigilance Awareness Sessions were also

organized.

The Vigilance Awareness Week concluded with a

valedictory Function at all the Divisions on

31st Oct 2015. Observance of Vigilance Awareness

Week received wide coverage. The initiatives taken by

the Vigilance Department during the Vigilance

Awareness Week was well received and appreciated by

the HAL employees and students from Schools/

Colleges.

All the participants were encouraged to participate

in various Competitions and Winners were given away

with the Prizes as a token of appreciation.
