Melanie spoke on Micro Greens and Heritage Roses”. Melanie mentioned that the Heritage Roses or old- fashioned Roses do very well in our hot conditions and had a variety for sale and a lot of Members that are finding it hard to grow Roses decided to try them. One rose Melanie recommended was “Carefree Wonder”, a floribunda with its own rootstock, that does very well in our climate. Melanie also talked on Micro Green and advised that it is best to use traditional Heirloom Seeds – Eden Seeds being one Supplier – and to plant in small containers in Coir. Keep moist and they will sprout quickly and be ready to eat in 10 days to two weeks. Melanie had samples to show us and kindly donated some for our Lucky Door Prizes. We thank Melanie for all the information she shared with us to get us started with growing more healthy greens. ” Carefree Wonder Rose” OUR PLANT STALL – a good variety of Plants were on the Stall - Pennywort Plant for sale on the day – GET WELL WISHES To all Members and Friends who are unwell at present, we wish you a Speedy Recovery.
