As we prepare to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Covenant, we're asking you to search for items of nostalgia to be used for displays and a slideshow. Items could be pictures (digital), old t-shirts, signage, or other items that are related to COVENANT! Please label any items you would like to have returned to you. We need these ASAP. Please bring any physical items to Conference Room B (in the office area). If you have photos, please email them to [email protected].

Virginia Creeper Trail - Saturday, November 2nd We can’t wait to return to the Virginia Creeper Trail this Fall. The Creeper is a “Rails to Trails” trail in Damascus, Virginia and is a very easy and enjoyable ride for anyone. We will leave from the church parking lot at 6:00 a.m. Please arrive at 5:45 a.m. to load up the bus/van. We will provide breakfast, but you will need snacks for the trail. Located on the trail is a church that provides hotdogs and hot chocolate for a donation. At the bottom of the trail, there is a cute little coffee shop that sells treats and hot chocolate. We will eat dinner at Cracker Barrel (dutch treat) on the way home. We expect to return between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. When you sign up at the Family Ministry Connection Center, please specify if you will be bringing your own bike or renting one. The prices for kids/adults who bring their bikes will be $15/$20. Prices for kids/adults who rent a bike will be $20/$25. We can’t wait to head back to this beautiful trail.

Parents Meeting Parents of youth and children, we will have our bi-annual parent meeting on Sunday, September 22nd, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. At this meeting, we will discuss upcoming family ministry events and have a time of prayer and encouragement for you.

Our Deepest Sympathy To Her Family.

You will see below that Franklin Graham is going to be making a stop in Charlotte soon with the “Decision America” tour. Their organization is going to be offering some evangelism training that would be beneficial for any believer. Who better to learn personal evangelism from than a group associated with Billy Graham!!! There is a little secret in the Christian world that is not popular to talk about, and that is most professing Christians have never shared their faith with anyone. We are loading up the church bus on Monday the 23rd (details below). Take off work an hour early and come learn evangelism from the best around!!! At least pray about it, countless souls are at stake… I love you guys and I’m praying for you! DECISION AMERICA TOUR - CHARLOTTE - OCTOBER 12th

Franklin Graham is coming to the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte to saturate North Carolina with the Good News of Jesus Christ. How can you be involved?

PRAY: There will be a group prayer meeting on Tuesday, September 17th, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Charlotte.

ENGAGE: Join in the Christian Life & Witness Course. Before the Franklin Graham Decision America Tar Heel State Tour this October, the Christian Life and Witness Course will equip you with practical ways to tell others about Jesus Christ and pray with those who want to make a decision for Him-during the event or on your own. Covenant will take a group to Charlotte for training on Monday, September 23rd. The bus will leave at 4:00 p.m. Bring money for a quick fast food supper on the way. Sign up at the Connection Center to reserve your spot.

ATTEND: Invite friends to attend the BIG event on Saturday, October 12th, at 4:00 p.m. There will be live music by Jeremy Camp, prayer, and a special message from Franklin Graham.
