Early Childhood to Adult Learning, VAM has delivered world-class music education to students of all ages and abilities for over 44 years.
VAM is a place of vibrancy where the inspiring nature of the performing arts is explored as a means of better understanding the human condition. For those who are familiar with the ethos of VAM and our students, the practical impact of music and the performing arts is immediate: it enhances communication, serves as a tool for personal development, leads to better academic achievement, and provides a sense of belonging and community.
In addition to our primary function as a centre of music education, VAM also acts as a central hub for concerts and cultural events. I encourage you to leaf through this brochure and take advantage of the numerous events produced at VAM – orchestra, opera, ballet, chamber music, recitals, master classes – most of which are offered free-of-charge as an opportunity to enrich your family’s cultural experience. VAM is also proud of our long-standing collaborative partnership with Music In the Morning, a venerable Vancouver institution that presents world-class artists on the stage of VAM’s Koerner Recital Hall (they even serve you tea and sandwiches!)
VAM’s goal is to provide a comprehensive music education at the most affordable price. Come learn how VAM’s Bonus Class program provides unparalleled value and the freedom to select your own musical pathway. Register today, be a part of VAM’s legacy of excellence - let your musical journey begin!
