1. Event Name: - Pitch It Right

Date & Time: - 18th December 2019 (11 AM to 4 PM)

Speaker: - GISC Surat Staff

Pitch it right is Sensitization Session on SSIP (Student Startup Innovation Policy) to discuss the

benefits, documentation and procedures of availing the SSIP grant through GTU, along with the

right approach towards starting up.

To foster the culture of technology-based entrepreneurship, Atal Incubation Center of GTU (AIC-

GISC Foundation) supported by AIM, Niti Aayog along with Regional GTU Startup & Innovation

Centers – Ahmedabad | Surat| Rajkot | Vadodara invites Ideas/ Project Proposals from

Students, Faculties, Researchers and from the Budding entrepreneurs for Ideathon to encourage

student & startups to convert their ideas to reality.

SSIP PoC Grant* on 21st December 2019 and 21 teams from various institutes of South

Gujarat areas have participated. Total 10 innovative ideas are selected by different domain

experts for funding under SSIP screening. And sanctioned PoC grant nearly about Rs.

4,45,500/-

Achievements of GISC Surat Incubated Startups:

GISC Surat Incubated Startup – Nova Tech Lab win Startup Exhibition Arena At Vibrant Startup &

Technology Summit 2019.

GISC Surat incubated startup got selected among the best startup of India and will compete at

national level in “Youth Co-Lab” which is launched by Atal Innovation mission(AIM), Niti Aayog

and United Nations development Programme (UNDP) Aims at accelerating social

entrepreneurship and innovation in young India.
