15:30 Networking And Refreshments 16:00 INTEGRATION OF CITY GAS AND POWER NETWORKS, THE NEW
MODEL FOR SUCCESSFUL OPERATION OF UTILITY COMPANIES Natural gas lends itself well to distributed generation with high utilization and conversion
effi ciencies. In emerging economies with rapid unpredictable growth, centralized utility plants become a hindrance for development and growth, with non-realistic demand forecasting. Gas networks coupled to distributed and onsite co- and tri-generation address those issues, open a higher value market for natural gas and paves the way for a new breed of utility companies, an integrated high-effi ciency energy utility company able to meet customer requirements on-demand. We examine some of the key opportunities and challenges facing this model.
Zeyad Almajed General Manager INTERNATIONAL ENERGY GROUP
