Experience SummaryMr. Donovan has a BA degree in Environmental Science and 13 years of experience providing technical expertise in air and water resources management as well as in decontamination and demolition planning. In addition to his environmental experience, Mr. Donovan also has 18 years of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) experience and extensive experience conducting complex data analysis to support major projects. Mr. Donovan currently provides data collection for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) for Biochemical Dynamics. This data center is one of the NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System data centers responsible for providing scientific and other users access to data from NASA's Earth Science Missions. The ORNL DAAC partners with multiple scientific organizations to support internal analyses, communications, and provide for engagement of stakeholders. Prior to that, Mr. Donovan directed the startup of RSI’s and VETCO’s GIS capability in order to support decontamination and decommissioning planning for the Department of Energy (DOE) Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site (PORTS). Mr. Donovan is accustomed to working in an environment where it is critical to meet deadlines and where the client’s needs come first. His writing skills are his strength, and he has used them to produce planning documents and an award-winning grant proposal.
