Alternatives to an IFA – guiding questions for discussion
1. Dialogue models:
• what dialogue models do you have?
• what are the success criteria for a productive dialogue?
• what future models do you envisage?
• what topics to discuss at what level – local versus global?
2. Investigations of issues:
• how to you deal with investigation issues – company audit only, jointly with social partners, other external parties?
• what works – what does not work – what are your suggestions?
• how do you report on issue found and remedy for resolution?
3. Solutions how to deal best with campaigns and remedy models:
• how to find the balance between global and local responsibility, where do you solve issues?
• what escalation processes do you have in place?
• what remedy model do you have in place?
• what is the most effective level to communicate solutions externally – local and/or global?
• split in 3 groups • every group all questions• post it’s with suggestions on flip chart• 30 minutes • appoint a spokes person to
share the outcome
