Can you hear the roar? Cheerleaders who give pep talks as well as lead the cheers. Black shirts grow with each game. Othousand. Fifteen hundred or more. Getting near the population of Mount Ayr. Its like a school reunion as people come oto cheer. Following the games far away on the internet. Listening to the radio or TV to catch the action in real time. On toor you can FEEL the roar. Its a feeling Ive never had before and I want the opportunity again. Singing the school sowith the crowd after a game.

This is just a game but there a bit more pageantry. Chicken dancing with the scoreboard. Drill teams with MAC participaand ag ceremonies. Awards to Steve and Cheryl Taylor and Dr. Peggy Whitson. Being introduced before the big crowds. Yname in lights. Your face on the big screen. All tournament team. Interviews following the game. This is something special.

CLAIRE ANDRESEN
58 Sophomore Forward6.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2.2 steals, 2 blocksper game
Coaches Comments: Claire is a cool cat. She doesntshow much emotion and she gets the job done. Her de-fense in the regional nal against Sidney played a hugepart in us going to the state tournament. She plays muchtaller than she really is.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory was the cheer-
leaders. Theyve been there for us all season and theywere just as excited to cheer as we were to play. Onevery trip up to Wells (Fargo Arena), just before we gotthere, Taylen Abarr would always stand up and give usa pep talk. As funny and as crazy as they were, it wasalways something we talked and laughed about beforethe game and even Coach Streit made reference to it inthe huddle. Thanks cheerleaders!
MOLLY BUDACH
58 Junior Center1.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, .4 steals per game
Coaches Comments: Molly is a character! She is veryeasy going and if you arent paying attention, you justmight miss out on a quick joke from her. Molly is a lotstronger than she was a year ago and she gave our postsa break when they needed one.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory was the rsttime we ran from the locker room onto the court at Wells
Fargo Arena with 1,000 plus fans in the stands cheeringus on the whole way. It felt great having that much sup-port from our community.
MEGAN DOUBLEDAY
55 Sophomore Guard1.2 points, 1.3 rebounds, .6 assists, .75 steals per g
Coaches Comments: Another great defender! Mis so quick and works so hard on defense. Her shooffensive skills improved from last year.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory was geescorted by the police in the late hours of the nscreaming through town trying especially to wakMrs. Cross. Stepping onto the Wells Fargo Arena
and just seeing all the crowd support you was agood feeling to know you made it to the oor.

BAILEY MYER56 Junior Guard9.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 4 steals per game
Coaches Comments: Bailey raised her level of play oncepost-season started. She got us a steal or basket when itmattered most. I valued Baileys opinion when she was onthe oor as she would see things that we might not seeon the bench. She sees the oor well and understands thegame.Favorite Memory: We we were playing North Sentral Ko-ssuth the rst round. We were getting ready to run an out ofbounds play, our rst of the game. Coach Streit was tryingto read the defense and didnt have enough time. He thenfrantically looked at me and signaled me to tie my shoe.(This was a rather amusing sight to see!) I then turned tothe referee and asked if I had permission to tie my perfect-ly-laced shoe. He grinned (he knew what we were doing)and said, Sure, just take your time. So as I pretendedto tie my shoe, both the ref and I were waiting for coachStreits signal. As soon as he showed us what play we weregoing to run, the ref looked down and asked me if I wasready, and of course I was! I smiled and said Yes andcarried on with the play. Im pretty sure we hadnt fooledanyone at Wells Fargo. It was rather amusing!
BECCA PENNINGTON
57 Junior Guard14.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.2 steals, .85blocks per game
Coaches Comments: Becca is one heck of a competi-tor! Her defense is amazing because she is so quick andstrong. Becca is a very unselsh team player. As long asthe team wins, she doesnt care about her stats.
Favorite Memory: I have three memories that areequal.
1. The rst time I stepped on the court at Wells FargoArena.2. The many celebrations we had as a team and a town.3. Placing second overall in the state and making theall-tournament team.
ASHLEY PHELPS
53 Junior Guard1.3 points, 1.4 rebounds, .6 assists, .82 steals per g
Coaches Comments: Ashley is smart and understthe game. She usually stays after practice and saround to make herself better.Favorite Memory: My favorite memory was bepart of the team. Going to the state tournament wayond my wildest dreams and making it to the chamship game was just fantastic. I had a great time and
the best seat in the house. I enjoyed the enthusiasthe crowds and the overall energy was amazing.

MORGAN QUICK
55 Freshman Guard
Coaches Comments: Morgans ball handling was apleasant surprise for us this year. She did a great job ofpenetrating and making a great pass to a post player. Shehas been working on her offensive skills and that willpay off down the road.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory of the trip tostate was the cheerleaders pep talks.
JENSEN STEWART
56 Junior Guard10.4 points, 3.25 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 3.4 steals, .4blocks per game
Coaches Comments: A great ball handler that is sostrong. There arent very many people that can just takethe ball from her. Her outside shot started to comearound later in the season and we will need more of thatnext year. Jensens buzzer beater in the third quarteragainst Sidney gave us the condence and momentumthe rest of the season. We were not going to be denied of
our goals after that shot.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory would have tobe sharing the winning moments with the teammates onthe court. Everything was great about the state trip. Itssomething I wont ever forget.
TAYLOR STILL
511 Freshman center2.9 points, 1.7 rebounds, .35 steals, .1 block per ga
Coaches Comments: We got to use Taylors heigtimes this season and she is a pretty good reboundeTaylor gets stronger, we could make a long post serun next year.
Favorite Memory: My favorite times before each gwere when we were all together in the locker roomtening to music, discussing how we would celebrat
win and lots of other things. Its never a dull mowith this team before a game. But I guess all I canis I cant wait to go back again next year and experthis kid of feeling with such an amazing team.

KATELYN WARIN
58 Sophomore Forward
Coaches Comments: Kate is very strong and once shelearns how to use her body down low, she could be agood rebounder.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memories were the cel-ebrations after the Sidney, North Sentral Kossouth andMartensdale-St. Marys games and getting ready withthe girls in our huge locker rooms.
LOGAN WIMER
57 Freshman Forward
Coaches Comments: Logan is another scrapper. Sheplays hard and gives us energy when we needed it. Sheis strong and rebounds very well for her size.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memories are sharingthis experience with Tiffany and seeing all the blackshirts at Wells Fargo Arena supporting us.
TIFFANY WIMER
58 Senior Forward10.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, .9 assists, 3 steals anblocks per game
Coaches Comments: Tiff has played four years ofsity and has seen senior leaders come and go. Shethe lone senior leader on this team and was vocal wshe needed to be. She wrestled when she was youand I think that helped her with basketball. She ustood how to ght for loose balls and how to usebody to get a better angles. Tiffany will be hard tplace next year.
Favorite Memory: My favorite memories werthe bus rides around the square yelling to no one times, making the shot to tie up the nal game withseconds to go and getting hugs from all my teammfamily and fans.
