FIFTH HARMONY

When you first entre Fifth Harmony’s website there are links to 7 pages.

The first thing that is shown is the latest events the girls will be in a slideshow style, below this is a picture of them so you see their face straight away.

The further down you scroll you find a bio on each member of the band. Under this is a list of events with links to book tickets.

NEWS

When you click on the ‘News’ link you are greeted with another image of the girls, showing their strong nature.

Under this is links to any news about the band, with a picture alongside. Bright colours are used on the links making the page pop with colour.

EVENTS

A image is shown at the top again, this time linking in with the page a picture of the girls on stage.

We then see again the events list and buy ticket links giving us multiple opportunities to buy tickets.

MEDIA

This page includes pictures of the band and videos. The first thing shown is a large video fo one the girls singles ‘worth it’.

Scroll down and find video channel links to music video, behind the scenes and interviews with the band. The page then includes a gallery of the band.

COMMUNITY

The community page of the website allows fans to talk to each other by registering to the website.

Its shows you what users are already registered.

It then provides fans with blogs about the band so they can constantly keep up to date with them and other fans.

BIOThe bio page of the website gives a detailed description of how fifth Harmony became Firth Harmony.

Below this is the same profiles of each member that is shown on the home page.

STORE

The last page gives two options when clicking on it, fan club store and official merchandise.

The fan store leads you to a page were you can buy merchandise that isn’t official.

The official merchandise page is more full and set out similar to the website.

ANALYSIS OF HOMEPAGEAt the top of the homepage a slideshow of upcoming events slide by, the main one advertising a performance the girls are doing for Nickelodeon. This gives a direct link to their target audience as that age watch nick. Below that are

pictures from the tour. Showing where the photo was taken. This gives the fans an insight to what their tours look like and get them excited or want to go themselves.

A convention of the site itself is to show the girls as many times as they can. A group shot is shown on the home page, the girls wear white and look innocent however the bare flesh adds sexual appeal to it – much like the conventions in girl band music videos.

The page then gives a link to information on the Mexican City Show as tis their latest show.

Below this is a detailed bio of each member of the band. The girls all have different coloured backgrounds, giving them each their own unique feel and a picture of them looking very pretty. It also gives you a link to their Instagram pages and twitter pages so fans can keep up to date with their favourite members.

The last part of the home page gives to a link to book tickets to their upcoming events/shows. The reason this is on the homepage is because the basis of the website is to make more money. It is set out on a white back ground making it easy to read and is also very simple.
