Gini Foundation is awarding grants for foreign students for a period of at least six months. Grants are
assigned to study and/or specialization at departments of the University of Padova in the scientific fields
of Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.
The aim of the Gini Foundation grants is to enable and encourage academically able Foreign Students.
The University of Padua is a premier Italian university located in the city of Padua, Italy. The University of
Padua was founded in 1222 as a school of law and was one of the most prominent universities in early
modern Europe.
Applicants must have a Master of Science degree from a foreign University.
Course Level: Grants are available to pursue a period of study and/or specialization (at least six months)
at departments of the University of Padova.
Study Subject: Grants are assigned to study and/or specialization at departments of the University of
Padova in the scientific fields of Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.
Scholarship Award: The amount of each grant will not be more than Euro 11,000.00 gross, including
travel costs. The amount of the grant is divided into 3 instalments. The final instalment, equal to 10% of
the total amount of the grant, will be paid only after the presentation of a written evaluation by the
supervising Professor at the University of Padova and a report of the activities carried out, which must be
accompanied by a declaration of attendance by the hosting Department.

Eligibility: Criteria is
The grants are assigned to support, for a period of not more than one year, those who plan to pursue a period of
study and/or specialization at Departments of the University of Padova in the scientific fields of Agriculture,
Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences for a period of at least six months. For the available
Departments refer to the list attached.
Foreign nationals who may apply for the grants must be less than 35 years old at the closing date for the call and
hold a Master of Science degree from a foreign University in subjects pertaining to the scientific fields of
Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.
Nationality: Foreign nationals can apply for these grants.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have a Master of Science degree from a foreign University in
subjects pertaining to the scientific fields of Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and
Natural Sciences.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet

International Scholarships
How to Apply: Original signed applications must be sent, by registered post or preferably by express
courier, to the Fondazione “Ing. Aldo Gini” – via Portello, 15 – 35129 Padova, no later than September
15, 2017, enclosing:
Curriculum vitae in European format; 2. Notification of any contributions obtained for study and/or research
activities from which the candidate might benefit during the period of the grant; 3.

by the Director of the hosting Department; such a declaration will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of
Fondazione Gini in the assignment of the grant; 6. Declaration by the candidate of not enjoying any

he/she will be supported by Fondazione Gini;
Declaration of adequate knowledge of the English language;
Any other useful credentials;
Authorization for the management of personal data, in compliance with D.Lgs. 196/2003.

The Diplomatic Academy of Vienna is offering scholarships on the basis of academic excellence and
financial need. Scholarships are open to students of all nationalities for pursuing Master of Advanced
International Studies (MAIS) programme.
The MAIS programme is a two-year academic programme which centres on the advanced study of
politics and international relations, international economics, history, and international and European law.
The Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, or simply DA is a postgraduate professional school based in Vienna,
Austria, with focused training for students and professionals in the areas of international affairs, political
science, law, languages, history, and economics.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS)
programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the fields of political science, international relations,
economics and international economic relations, contemporary history, as well as international and
European law.
Scholarship Award: The amount granted in scholarships and tuition waivers varies, but most are in the
region of 50% of the tuition fee. Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.
Number of Scholarships: Financial assistance in the form of student loans and scholarships is available
to specific target groups, depending on the number of sponsorships received. Additionally, there is a
limited number of partial tuition waivers granted by the DA to students of all nationalities based solely on
academic performance.
Scholarship can be taken in Austria
Eligibility: In order to be eligible for admission to the MAIS programme candidates must have:
A university degree in any discipline (minimum 180 ECTS)
An excellent command of English
Nationality: Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply.

The Scientific Research Honor Society invites for research grants in the USA. These grants are available

of researchers.
The Scientific Research Honor Society is the international honor society of science and engineering. One
of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world, Sigma Xi has a distinguished history of

Study Subject: These grants are awarded in all areas of the sciences and engineering.
Scholarship Award: The program awards grants of up to $1,000 to students from all areas of the
sciences and engineering. Designated funds from the National Academy of Sciences allow for grants of
up to $5,000 for astronomy research and $2,500 for vision related research. Students use the funding to
pay for travel expenses to and from a research site, or for the purchase of non-standard laboratory
equipment necessary to complete a specific research project.

Ritsumeikan University is inviting applications for KENKYU-SHOREI Scholarships A/B (Prize Fellowship
for the Doctoral Degree Students) for the academic year 2017.
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage research activities of graduate students who have
achieved excellence in their field of research.
In Ritsumeikan University, Doctoral Student Career Path Support Center was launched in April in 2010 to

(CGP) are inviting applications for the Abe Fellowship program. The fellowship is awarded to the citizens
of the United States and Japan as well as to nationals of other countries to pursue research in the social

The Abe Fellowship is designed to encourage international multidisciplinary research on topics of
pressing global concern.
The Social Science Research Council is an independent, international, nonprofit organisation founded in

Study Subject(s): Fellowship is awarded for international multidisciplinary research on topics of pressing

Eligibility:

demonstrate strong and serious long-term affiliations with research communities in Japan or the United States.
Applicants must hold a PhD or the terminal degree in their field, or have attained an equivalent level of professional

Previous language training is not a prerequisite for this fellowship. However, if the research project requires
language ability, the applicant should provide evidence of adequate proficiency to complete the project.
Applications from researchers in professions other than academia are encouraged with the expectation that the

Please note: Past recipients of the Abe Fellowship are ineligible. You may hold only one fellowship
sponsored by the Japan Foundation, which includes the Abe Fellowship, during any one Japanese fiscal
year, which runs from April 1 through March 31. Current recipients of a Japan Foundation Fellowship and
those who will commence that fellowship by March 31, 2017, are ineligible to apply for an Abe Fellowship
in 2016. Fellowship awards are contingent upon receipt of funding from the Japan Foundation Center for
Global Partnership.
