The following technology and updates are required prior to installation:• Access to Gilbarco Manager’s Work Station• Compatible 2D barcode scanner• Passport Version: 20.01 or higher• Estimated time to complete: 5 minutes

Before you begin

If you are the owner, please log-in with your credentials. The cashier credentials will not allow certain functions due to limitations. The manager may have all of the functions needed, depending on how you as the owner have it set it up.

Confirm POS Version

From Cashier’s View:1. Click on (!) INFO (A tab opens up and the version should be available). If this is not available, then route

to Manager Work Station

1. If your store is already using a 2D Scanner, do NOT scan any QR programming codes.2. If you are ordering a scanner off of POS Portal, please use the programming sheet with the QR codes

that is in the box that the scanner came with.3. If the sheet is missing, or you ordered a different 2D scanner, please call the EAC Call Center

(855-780-7966) and let them know the brand, model number of the scanner, and POS System, and they can find you the correct programming sheet. You can also call the scanner manufacturer.

Set up two Restriction Groups, one for JUUL Devices and one for JUULpod Packs. You can edit an existing JUUL Restriction Group or create a new one.

1. From the POS screen, Click More2. Click More again3. Click Tools4. Click Manager Workstation5. Have the manager log-in6. Go to Set Up7. Click Store8. Click Restriction Maintenance9. Check if there is an existing Restriction Group for either JUUL Devices or JUULpods

• If there is an existing JUUL Restriction Group, go to FAQs below• If there is no existing group, continue with the below steps

10. Click Add11. Name the Restriction Group “JUUL Device”12. On the Buyer/Seller tab

• Check Entry of Birth Date Required• Make sure the box for age reflects 21 years old• Configure the Maximum number of items in a single transaction: 1 JUUL Device

13. Navigate to the Age Verification tab (on some versions this is on the Buyer/Seller tab)14. Check Customer ID scan preferred for birth date entry15. Check Require cashier to confirm scanned ID16. Select Allow Manager override of birth date entry17. Click Save18. Select Add to make a new Restriction Group19. Give the Restriction Group a name JUULpods20. On the Buyer/Seller tab

Step 3: Assign Restriction Groups to JUUL SKUs

1. Go to Pricing2. Click Item3. Click the PLU/UPC field, and scan the designated JUUL SKUs you want to change4. Click Search5. Click the Options tab, and you will see a field for Restriction Group6. Change the Restriction field to reflect either the “JUUL Device” or “JUULpods” restriction7. Click Save8. Repeat step #3 for each SKU

What if a customer has a military ID, tribal ID, or passport?Once you scan the product, there will be a “Manual” key to click1. Match the photo of the customer to their ID2. Once on the manual screen, the cashier can manually enter the Date of Birth listed on the ID presented

Below are the steps to changing settings to “Allow Manual Entry of Birth Date”1. When “Creating & Editing AV Restriction Groups” discussed in Step 2, navigate to the

“Age Verification” tab2. Check “Customer ID scan preferred for birth date entry”3. Check “Require cashier to confirm scanned ID“4. Check “Allow manual entry of birth date”

When I scan an ID, I am getting an error message of “Invalid ID”.Please reach out to the manufacturer of the scanner to get the scanner programming codes to enable ID verification.

What if the JUUL Restriction Group already exists?Below are the steps to changing POS settings of existing restrictions groups to be EAC compliant.1. Tap Manager Work Station2. Select Set-up > Store > Restrictions Maintenance3. Select the correct restriction group4. Tap Change5. Check Entry of birth date box6. Enter the Maximum number of items in a single transaction. Do NOT check the box Exclusive Sale. 7. Select Age Verification tab
