STATE: “pupil who is identified as possessing or demonstrating potential abilities that give evidence of high performance capability”

FEDERAL: “children with outstanding talent perform or show the potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared with others of their age, experience, or environment”

How do I know if my child is gifted?

Only 3-5% of the population are

identified as “gifted” in any

particular area. Gifted children can be gifted in

many ways. Intellectually gifted children are

not always high achievers. High achievers are not always gifted.

¿Cómo sé si mi hijo es superdotado?

Sólo 3 a 5% de la populación son identificados como estudiantes “superdotados” en un área en particular.
