I have an amazing opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. in 2017 and witness the pageantry and tradition of the presidential inauguration with my friends and classmates from (insert school name)! We’ll spend a total of (insert number of days) days together in D.C., experiencing our capital during this historic time. Here are some of the awesome activities that are planned for us on our visit:

Inauguration: Be a part of a day that includes the swearing in of the President and Vice President of the United States, the inaugural address, and the parade.

Capitol Hill: See the Rotunda and the Senate and House chambers where Congress meets, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress.

Arlington National Cemetery: Watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and see the Eternal Flame at JFK’s gravesite and the Challenger Memorial.

Smithsonian Museums: Visit the many Smithsonian museums located on the Mall in D.C., including the Air and Space Museum and Museum of Natural History.
