GIANTS IN THE EARTH

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Genesis 6:4

The union between the sons of God and the daughters of men produced giants (see Mingling of seed). Everything was bigger before the Great Flood (Genesis 7: 11 - 12, 17 - 23; see Environmental change).

Those who were not classified as giants were still much bigger than the average size person of today.Many giant skeletons have been found, some in excess of 15 feet.These giants were not tall and thin, no, rather, they were tall, solid and muscular.

Numbers 13: 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

When the children of Israel travelled to Canaan (after the Great Flood), they saw the sons of Anak who were giant men.The children of Israel thought themselves to be grasshoppers in comparison to the stature of these men.

Deuteronomy 3: 11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

The lineage of Cain were much bigger people than the lineage of Adam.King Og of Bashan lived after the Great Flood but was of the lineage of Cain.A cubit is approximately 18 inches.The bedstead of King Og measured 15 feet long (nine cubits) and 6 ½ feet wide (four cubits). King Og was a massive, muscular man.

1 Samuel 17: 4And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. Goliath lived after the Great Flood but was also of the lineage of Cain.Goliath was also a massive, muscular man whose height was 9 ½ feet.
