IMPORTANCETechnology has infiltrated every aspect of our lives, changing how we work, how we learn and how we shop. Its inevitable that our devices begin to reflect our civic aspirations our desires to connect with others and to contribute to the world around us.The Internet and related tools already play critical roles, in areas such as data mapping and visualizations, crowdsourcing and more. Heres how:1) They lower transaction costs for group formation and action.While we have always come together to engage in community change through weak ties, the potential of the Internet is that we will be able to do this much more effectively.2)They shift time.Group members dont have to be in the same room at the same time to meet. They can coordinate activities over days and months, and members can chime in at their convenience, whether its 2 p.m. or 3 a.m.3) They facilitate easy communication.Spreading the word now only takes one click and maybe one tweet. Thats all anyone needs to do these days to share something with a social network.

AFFECTS OUR LIFETodays society is different to the one that existed not so many years ago. Our society is constantly changing. The most important characteristics of our era may be the transformation, transmission and dominion of information. We live in an information society where the leading role has been given to new technologies, especially those devoted to information. Our society could not be imagined without new technologies and their role both in this society and in human life in general.Modern technology has revolutionized peoples communication. Radio, telephone, satellite communication, cellular technology, wireless Internet in the modern day two people can chat with a help of computer when theyre in different places. Technology is building bridges between people on opposite sides of the globe, bringing people from all cultures and backgrounds into contact with each other.The Internet hosts an enormous information base. Technology has made it possible for this information to reach far and wide. Online education has set in, making it possible to render knowledge to students inhabiting remote locations on Earth. It is due to the World Wide Web that the information could reach one and all over the computer networks.
