Ridgely’s Fun ParkFamilies with small children ages three and up will find all the excitement they need at Ridgely’s Fun Park, located at Discovery Ridge. Open on winter weekends and select holidays, this park offers a gentle tubing hill, snow forts, bear paw snowshoes and a winter carousel. Tubing at The PlungeThe Plunge – Virginia’s largest tubing park – is a 900- foot, mega-snowtubing hill for people 42 inches and taller. Tubers can reach thrilling speeds of 25 to 40 MPH with a vertical drop of 100 feet. Sessions frequently sell out, so please purchase your tickets online before you arrive.

GolfOur two picturesque courses include 45-holes of true mountain golf. Ski & TeeIt’s for the sports enthusiast who loves to do it all! Just take your same-day lift ticket down to the Stoney Creek Golf Course and you can hit the links with the same gusto you did on the slopes. Cart is not included but required for play.

Hiking The winter season at Wintergreen offers a unique perspective on the Blue Ridge Mountains. With the falling of the leaves, the panoramas have opened up and when the snow falls you get a clear outline of ridgelines. Visit the Nature Center for maps and trail suggestions.

Aquatics & Fitness CenterThe Aquatics & Fitness Center, adjacent to The Spa, features an indoor pool, outdoor pool (seasonal), outdoor hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, a well-equipped exercise center, locker rooms and experienced staff. This summer the Fitness Center had a major renovation which increased the floor plan, added new equipment and a stunning wall of windows with improved views and light. The Fitness Center is limited to guests ages 16 and older. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older when visiting the Aquatics Center. The Nature Foundation at WintergreenThe Nature Foundation at Wintergreen (TNFW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental education and research in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Trillium House, home of TNFW (located across from The Spa), has hands-on exhibits, interactive areas for both children and adults and is the hub for all things hiking. For young naturalists, Robin’s Nook is an area they can call their own. With puppets and a puppet stage, games, toys and hundreds of books, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon after skiing.
