Sherry Romello, senior director - Hilton meetings and product management, leads efforts to advance the positioning and product development for the meeting and convention segment across all Hilton Worldwide brands, with a significant focus on Hilton Hotels & Resorts

Romello joined Hilton Worldwide from the National Association of Convenience Stores where she served as vice president, meetings and conventions

Romello brings more than 20 years of experience to her role at Hilton Worldwide

She has led all aspects of conference and exposition planning, ranging from large national annual conventions and mid-size conferences to small meetings with attendees ranging from 50 to 23,000

Prior to the National Association of Convenience Stores, Romello served in senior management meeting planner positions with major companies including the National Recreation & Park Association, National Apartment Association, Intelligence Press Inc., National Association of Chemical Distributors, American Waterways Operators and the National Association of Chemical Distributors

Romello has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from National Lewis University and is a Certified Meeting Professional

Outside of work, Romello enjoys road biking with her husband and spending time in the kitchen creating great food and enjoying a glass of wine

She resides in Vienna, Virginia with her husband and son

Favorite Hilton amenity?

A room with a view. Hilton has some amazing hotels all over the world and I love checking into a hotel and looking at the views around me - whether it's the London Eye or Lake Michigan. Wherever I want to be, there's a Hilton property.

Why do you have the best job in the world?I have the best job in the world because I get to the opportunity to make a positive difference to Hilton customers. When clients bring meetings to Hilton, they want a great experience. I have the opportunity to give them products that make their lives easier and make them feel understood and appreciated. It is an incredible experience for me to bring my perspective as a former customer to this new role.
