Read 1 Corinthians 15:54

1) Paul quotes the Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 25:8) when he reminds us that the Lord of Hosts will

do away with death when Jesus returns. We will have victory over death and have a new body

when Jesus returns. Why do people in our society focus so much on their personal pain and

suffering and how should the follower of Jesus relate to pain and suffering?

Read 1 Corinthians 15:55-56 2) Paul also quotes the Prophet Hosea (Hosea 13:14 ) in this passage; what does it mean when

Scripture tells us that sin brings death? Why did Paul say that the power of sin is the law?

Read 1 Corinthians 15:57 3) Notice Paul gives Jesus all the thanks; what does it mean to you to be able to say “thanks be

to God who gives us victory through Jesus Christ”? List some of the things you are thankful for.

When was the last time you really thanked God and others in your life?

Read 1 Corinthians 15:58

4) In times of suffering and death, how can we be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in

the work of the Lord? Why does the enemy whisper in our ear that following Jesus is a waste of

time?
