AUGUST: CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SEPTEMBER: DISCOVERY CLASS OCTOBER: BIBLE STUDY & SEEKERS CLASSES NOVEMBER: PATHFINDERS CLASS DECEMBER: KEYSTONE CLASS/PIONEER CLASS
Giving to provide for the Church and its activi-ties is the “treasure” portion of people’s giving. People are generally more open to being asked to give money than they are of their time or talent because of work and family obligations. While people certainly have current and future financial needs in order to live, the Bible tells us many, many times about the truer meaning to fulfillment and happi-ness. To further God’s work we need to balance our giving with our time and talents.
Stewardship education will help make people aware of the needs of our church over time. The Annual Stewardship Program or Annual Appeal will take place this year in October. This “program within a plan” will be cele-brated on Commitment Sunday. The collection of the money determines the budget for the church for the next year. Other project-oriented fundraising efforts such as capital campaigns may last much longer.
We are stewards or trustees of all that God has provided to us. Because of your giving, the church is able to further the works He would have us do and the beautiful church we have.
