ABOUT THE CO-FOUNDERSWe weren’t always reflective piano teachers.
Even today, we vividly remember what it’s like to feel out of one’s depth, to sense that something is missing. Yet unsure about what that ‘something’ is - which is SO frustrating. We also remember the isolation.
The pain. The doubt. And dealing with the fear of “I’m not good enough”.
However, between us, we’ve now experienced 50 years of journeying forward as piano teachers. We’ve done oddles of courses and professional development. Sally was awarded a PhD from the Institute
of Education, UCL in 2013. Sharon completed her Masters in Music Education with distinction in 2007.
For the past decade, piano teacher training has been at the heart of what we do. Then 3 years ago (in a little coffee shop overlooking the Irish Sea) we decided to collaborate. A year later we
established The Curious Piano Teachers to provide piano teachers worldwide with fresh teaching inspiration. With answers. With solutions. With encouragement. With love and support.
