______1. Get 1/4 piece of watermelon.Get cutting board.Get knife.Get melon ball scoop.*

Here’s how to slice and dice a fresh watermelon.

Use as a snack, in salads, and as dessert.No need to wash because you cannot eat the rind (the rind is the skin or peel).

______1. Get 1/4 piece of watermelon. Get cutting board. Get knife. Get melonball scoop.*Get a fresh one quarter piece of a whole watermelon, a clean cuttingboard, a clean, sharp knife, and a clean melon ball scoop.

______2. Cut watermelon in half. Put the watermelon on to the cutting board and, using the knife, cutthe watermelon (lengthwise) in half.

______3. Cut larger pieces.Put the watermelon halves, one at a time, on to the cutting board and,using the knife, cut each into one to two inch thick slices.When you get to the ends, the pieces will be oddly shaped. This is okay.Some chefs serve these one to two inch slices of watermelon.

______4. Scoop bite sized pieces. To get smaller, bite sized pieces, use the melon ball scoop after step 1.
