1. Historique:

Les premires entreprises la gestion des flux a t confie au personnel de

production ou issu de la production (production, ordonnancement,mthodes) tandis que la gestion des stocks tait rserve de pursgestionnaires(comptables, Service Achat).

Cette sparation gnre encore des conflits ou des incomprhensionslorsque les intrts des uns sont en opposition ceux des autres.

I. Planification de la ProductionOn peut distinguer trois phases dvolution dans lenvironnement de lentreprise:

La premire phase: loffre de biens infrieure la demande. Il sagit pour

lentreprise dune priode de bonheur . Il faut alorsproduire puis vendre.

Lorsque loffre et la demande squilibrent, nous atteignons une deuxime phase o

le client a le choix du fournisseur.Pour lentreprise, il faut alorsproduire ce qui sera vendu. Il devient alors ncessaire de

faire des prvisions commerciales, de matriser lactivit de production,

Trs rapidement, on passe la phase suivante o loffre excdentaire cre une

concurrence svre entre les entreprises face un client qui devient exigeant.

Lentreprise tend dsormais produire ce qui est dj vendu. Nous voyons apparatre

des soucis de stratgie industrielle et de contrle prcis de la gestion.

Le systme de production regroupe lensemble des ressources qui conduisent la cration de biens ou de services. Afin de raliser ses objectifs, lentreprisepossde trois types de ressources :

Un objectif cl de toute entreprise est de livrer des produits ses clients,lorsqu'ils lesdemandent. Il est donc ncessaire, afin d'assurer une gestionperformante, de matriser les flux de matires, composants et produits finis ausein de l'entreprise.
