Demand for food relief is not being met by supply.

Demand for food relief continues to rise.

Family economic circumstances are the main

driver of need for

food relief.

Food relief agencies need more resources to meet

demand.

Food relief and Foodbank NSW play a crucial role

in moving

toward a longer term solution.

THE COMMUNITY IMPACT…

• “Foodbank NSW" has continued to provide a great service to our community at Streetlevel Mission Surry Hills to assist in providing food to the community, where we serve meals to up to 100 people a day. Without services such as Foodbank NSW it would be very difficult to continue. The Salvation Army, Sydney Streetlevel Mission

• With the supply of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Care Works NSW Rhythms Project can now offer a new service to the people we serve. We supply mission services to the people of Seven Hills and depend on Foodbank NSW for the supply of food.

John Wall, Care Works NSW

• Myrtle Cottage, a registered charity, provides day activities. For frail, aged and younger people with a disability and people with dementia. The assistance Foodbank NSW provides is invaluable as their contributions allow us supplement each meal with good quality food.

Elizabeth Delcasse, Manager, Myrtle Cottage Group Inc.

• Newtown Mission has been caring for the local community for over 150 years. We have a limited budget financially with meals for over 400 people a week. Foodbank and its team of volunteers have saved us on many occasions when we have been struggling to fill our storeroom. I wish to thank all at Foodbank as without you a ministry to the poor and marginalized at Newtown Mission would be limited.

Pastor Brian Unterrheiner, Newtown Mission
