Competition Goal: Create a conceptual design for a pod structure and supporting subsystems capable of traveling up to 760 mph through a low pressure tube environment.
Senior Design Project: SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Design Competition
The following were my contributions to the team’s final design• Designed the pod’s body using SolidWorks surface modeling
techniques • Designed interior frame using SolidWorks solid modeling
techniques • Oversaw the integration of the subsystems with the pod’s body
using a master skeleton file• Assisted with the sub-system housing design• Created presentation worthy renderings of the pod’s structure and
subsystems
Design Process
• The body was initially designed using SolidWorks surface modeling techniques
• Changes to the body
could be easily made as the space claims for individual subsystems were defined
• The frame was designed using SolidWorks solid modeling techniques to support each subsystem and potential loading scenarios
Armillary Design ProjectDesigned as an installation for the grand foyer of a casino.
Requirements:• 18 feet tall• 20 year life for static, seismic,
and fatigue• Fully rotational motorized sphere• Manufacturing and installation
plans
Alternate Design
Final Design
FEA analysis was completed for static, seismic, and fatigue loading.
Design and analysis was completed in collaboration with Raul Tackie and Nicholas Kapela
Chassis for Toy Car
Toy car chassis designed for use with the following provided parts: • Tamyia no. 93 gearbox• Battery Holder• Rocker Switch, 3 pin• Long hex shaft.• 3D printed bearings
