*Restoring God’s Image Call to Confession, Unison and Silent Prayer

God of the Promise,

I know you are here O Lord. I know you are deeply involved in the world

and in my life. And yet, I continue to come up with my own plans and

schemes. I continue to carve out my own path, hoping you will bless my

choices after the fact! I pray for your leading Spirit, then I go another way

expecting you to follow. I beg for clarity, then I hide from you in the clouds.

Forgive me Lord. Forgive my stubborn ways and open my heart to your

leading. Allow me to decrease and you to increase, that I may know the

wholeness and the peace of your guiding presence.

~ In silence, let us open our hearts to God, as we stand in community. ~

Leader: Amen! People: Amen!

Sending Prayer As We Gather at Your Table (Vs. 3) Hymnal #695

All who seek a relationship with Christ are invited to come forward to share this spiritual feast.

In preparation, examine your faith life, asking God to open your heart to those actions which,

through the work of the Holy Spirit, will deepen your intimacy with Christ. Please take a piece of

bread from the plate and dip it into the cup, partaking immediately. Gluten free bread has crusts

attached.

The cup contains unfermented grape juice. An appropriate response to the Elder’s words as you

receive the elements is "Amen" which means, "Let it be so." Using one loaf and cup symbolizes

our unity in Christ. If coming forward is difficult, you will have the opportunity to be served in

the pew. All ages are invited to the table, for none of us fully understand this gift of spiritual

nourishment that we have been given. The Pastor will be available at the antique communion

table for those who wish a personal moment of prayer.

Receiving God's Tithes & Our Gifts

As did the first century church, we will receive the offering as a part of our communion

celebration. The offering is not returned to the front of the sanctuary, but is immediately sent

from our gathering, symbolizing its use beyond church walls.

Offertory In The Lord Alone (Hymn #62) Chancel Choir

*Hymn of Dedication O Christ the Same Hymnal #433“O Lord of love, for all our joys and sorrows . . .”

*Benediction
